Bring the Noise

It's just a bit annoying that we sing about him now, but rarely did when he played for us.
Any song, with the exception of that fucking allez, allez, allez dirge, is better than no singing.

Exactly and also Im sure it really inspires the players hearing a song about Edin Dzeko who is not playing sung time after time.

The Edin Dzeko song is great, can't believe some people don't like it.
It is decent, but we sing it at the wrong times. That’s the sort of song to sing when we go 4-0 up in a game or when we play Liverpool.

It’s not the song everyone will join in with to get the team going at 1-1.

We barely ever sung for Edin in his last few years with us, yet we sing his name every game now. It’s become a staple chant for us.

I’m one of those not in the Singing Section who will join in with every song the Singing Section start, but we sing this so much I genuinely (and won’t be alone), and more than once, I’ve rolled my eyes and said “fucking hell not this one again!”

Lots of people discussing where's best for the noise I'll say this I'm on level 2s/s the fans on level 1 try their nuts off but the sound doesn't carry now when level 3 gets going like yesterday your ears are ringing just something I and others have noticed on loud matchdays others might be able to explain the actual dynamics of this.

The atmosphere was great yesterday. Even Guy Mowbray, the commentator for MOTD, remarked on ‘the noise in this place’. Let’s do it more often!

The noise is better when we’re losing or playing a big team. But this doesn’t happen every week so we need to continue to sing when we’re winning aswell.

An ironic song would be we only sing when we’re losing.

If we did only sing when were losing , we would only sing about 2,3 or 4 times at the most a season.
Ground would be dead when we play utd !!!

Seen certain people mention how good the atmosphere was on Saturday and by premier league standards it was but it wasn’t exactly Frankfurt was it? Imo city need a real ultras group, I know some people might not like the idea but it would be better than our current situation

And Frankfurt has a safe standing area with no seat allocation and prices that make teens / early 20's able to watch live games and make an atmosphere.
Do you really want one Blue stood on a podium choreographying the songs throughout the game rather than songs coming naturally from different parts of the ground?

and play stupid orchestral music after every goal.

Songs coming naturally from the fans would be ideal and no problem on big games but for dead rubber games like villa or Watford when know were going to batter them we do need someone to start songs and keep it going, on ur other point as an organised group it would be easier to speak to the club for organising cheaper tickets

Great for singing on a concourse, round the house, in the pub etc but will it motivate the team at the stadium, not a chance.
Is there ANYTHING you don't moan about, you miserable c**t?

And fyi, it was Block R at Maine Road that was most vociferous, after the Kippax was fked up by the rebuild, I was in it.

This. We need working-class youths to be able to afford to come to games. Need to try and keep our identity as much as possible. It’s important.

So was I. :-)

I used to sit 3 rows from the front of the block.

Great block. Small, but everyone in it was always up for a song.

The fact it was right next to the away end helped.

Do you remember Narcolepsy bloke?

He used to fall asleep all the time while watching the matches.

It became a running joke.

I vaguely remember him...

I was in the bit just behind the front rows, in the 'elevated' bit, still remember exactly, Block R, Row 4, Seat 029 !

He was a boo boy for a long time, when he left many realised that he was actually pretty good.

True. He’s a sort of anti hero. Many fans think he should have got a lot more support during his time with us. He always said the right things about City and the rags.
