That’s what I want to see. Fernandinho in his natural position is a must for me otherwise it will be like lambs to the slaughter for whoever plays centre back. If gundogan plays there we will turnover the ball so many times and suffer badly. Bernardo is needed in the centre with no silva and mahrez hasn’t done anything for weeks and doesn’t have the fight needed for anfield so cancelo right wing infront of Walker. That’s what I want to see but In reality I Fully expect to see Fernandinho at cb, gundogan holding and mahrez or Jesus out wide with sterling.

I agree, save for Mahrez for Cancelo - and i thought both of them did ok tonight. Can't wait for Sunday - if we can frustrate them for a while, you never know........

Last year we played 2 deep midfielders-before that they were v successful pressing Ferny. If he's not banned Bernie will play deep next to Ferny or Gundogan.

Kyle's pace in the middle could snub the dippers counter attacking, but more importantly it releases Fern to dictate the play.

Swap Bernie for Mahrez, and stick Foden in the middle, and that’s spot on. Can’t see it happening though

Don’t be surprised if he starts Ota, Stones and Ferna on Sunday, but in a 5. That way he can switch to 4-5-1 at any point without having to make a sub. Unless Rodri is fit.

Not that I'm happy to play with Stones and Ota together, but it's very important that Fernandinho will play as a DM. Gundogan will start to help him defensively, Walker and Mendy are very physically strong and must play, Bernardo will be very helpful on the wings .
