McDonnell getting ripped to bits on sky news about the free broadband plan.

Pie in the fucking sky free stuff.

We dont believe you John.

quite right what a reckless position..

So

he wants to give broadband to everyone irrespective of whether you are on benefits or a billionaire. Why on earth would you agree to pay for people’s broadband when they already have it or are happy to pay for it?

scrap private schools even though parents pay for it already and it means less pupils for the state to educate and more cash per pupil for those being educating. Nope he will pay for the education of every child in the country and scrap private schools and have the state pay fo something private individuals are already paying.

I imagine he has not even worked out yet that if people work 4 days a week instead of 5 it means they get paid 20% less then the tax take will go down by 20% as well.

The money tree is bountiful this season eh Bob. But of course we'll conveniently file the billions needed as "infrastructure investment" so we don't need to count it.

Infrastructure spending is always welcome and the Internet is infrastructure. Giving everyone access upgrades everyone’s opportunity to use it for learning or financial gain. It is also a move towards control of data and tech infrastructure. The concept of ‘tech sovereignty’ is a looming issue for Europe as a whole.

You seem to miss understood mate.

working 4 days a week will not mean a pay cut.

Honest it wont.

facebook and Google will be paying for it........

they live in a very different world to the rest of us.

Its a world in which they can promise the Earth, literally because they dont think they are going to win anyway so who cares?

On the off chance they do win then like all parties they just dont deliver, blame the last government for it and we all carry on as usual.

Rinse and repeat.

This 4 day week thingy. Does it mean shops will be shut at weekends or will that be overtime?

Being rich will be a crime by then and anyone rich will be forced to do community service to cover the hours.

All legal...all fully costed...unions are fully behind the plan.

Jesus it’s not just free broadband for homes it’s for all businesses !!!!

Barclays Bank, HSBC, Amazon , shell, Tesco.

free broadband coming your way paid for by the taxpayer.

don’t worry if you work at plusnet sky virgin or the entire broadband market.

Standard policy of offering something you know you'll never have to follow through with, added to the fact by the time 2030 comes along technology landscape in that regards will be completely different.

Broadband is a natural monopoly.
BT planned to integrate the supply under one roof in the 80s.
Thatcher broke it all up and the rest is history.
Complete shambles.
Natural monopoly or not Len (not, but let's not let that get in the way of the fundamental point), it's not "free".

This is just yet another example of Labour's head in the clouds, money no object, spending whatever they like on whatever whim they dream up next. And in this particular case, yet another example of saying whatever they like in order to bribe some more gullible voters.

Well bad luck Len, the bribes did not work last time and since then, the vast majority have seen Corbyn for the slimy shit that he is, so they will work even less this time.

Seems this broadband initiative has raised the panic levels to 11 on here :)
Panic? No, of course not.

Fucking infuriating? Hell yes. It's like Corbyn is pre-programmed to come out with whatever shite is most finely-tuned to wind up sensible people the most. The guy is an absolute and utter cretin.
