Tory supporters on here when Tories announce free broadband...

Just on the minimum wage the IFS have warned them both that they are promising things the economy wont be able to deliver.

Free broadband even less so.

And there you have it.... total lack of thought about the bigger picture.
As we have now lost control of all methods of steel production in the UK .... How would we get on in the event of another war? you know where we have to build and maintain tanks / ships / Planes / trains and vehicles?

When the Chinese have changed all the passwords and gone home.

Short term thinking again .... it is vital for the nations security that the UK retains some element of steel production but hey ££££££££££££££££££££

The cynic knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Love it Len.
Same old mistakes as in the EU ref campaign being made time and time again.
Hate to break it to you but no one really gives a fuck what you think, even less so when its to tell someone that to vote conservative it means you're a racist.
Enjoy the majority Tory government and the brexit it will deliver wont you :-)
You're full of it mate.

Well it’s popular...

"To what extent would you support or oppose a policy providing free broadband internet to all UK homes and businesses by 2030?"

Support: 62%
Oppose: 22%

Taking over Openreach would properly fuck over it's shareholders. They wouldn't get anywhere near the true value of their shares in compensation.

Now for some on here that probably sounds like a great idea as to them all shareholders are evil money grabbing bastards.

Of course, some of the shareholders will be pension funds so that means many people's pensions will also suffer if this crackpot idea comes to fruition.
Looks like successive CEOs have been fucking over the shareholders for 20 years but that doesn’t seem to matter?
In 2000, the shares were worth more than £10. In 2016 they were £5. A month ago they were £2.10 and, on the 8th November, they were £1.86 which is 10p lower than they are now, following the Corbyn bombshell.
I’m not advocating universal free broadband but the Mail screaming that the shares had ‘plunged’ 2% in early trading due to the Corbyn announcement is quite hysterical, given the share price performance of the company over the last 20 years. If you’d invested all your pension money in BT shares since 2000, I’d imagine you’d be a tad disappointed....

Unfortunately both sides are just massively entrenched in backing their team now that it doesn't matter what policy the other party puts forth, it's a bad idea.

Even if the same idea is put forward by your team later on, both sides are becoming radicalised cults essentially

Do you understand what drives share prices? Serious question. It would appear that you don't.
