We’re never going to agree with this but I will just say that there’s more to the LibDems than Brexit, if there wasn’t they would work with Corbyn in an alliance.

She’s not going to lose a seat, parties will never allow their leaders to not be MPs.

There may be more but none of it matters. Their resurgence will be 100% down to a promise that they can't keep.

Concentrating too much cash in the hands of the wealthy is stupid for economic productivity as the rich don't spend the same percentage of their spare cash as the less well off do. My argument isn't just based on 'what i think would be nice', it's based on what i believe would be the most successful version of our economy. And this isn't about 'giving it to others', it's about building infrastructure (both physical and social) that will benefit the country as a whole.
It amounts to "giving it to others". You cannot take £500,000 off someone, and tell them it's for their benefit when all they see is a new hospital they will never visit in a town they don't live in.

I don't disagree with the issue of capital being trapped in the hands of a few however. What I do disagree with is the immorality of taking it off them.

@bluejon Take a look at this:

This is not the Tories in 2019. I can show you countless similar photos. It's of course not right that people are living in shop doorways, but some people will always be doing this. I visit the Nordics regularly and I see it there even now, and yet they are supposed to be socialist nirvana. (They are neither, btw).
I've got a very close friend living in Copenhagan, she's said the same. As for the there being homeless people previous to David Cameron, it's okay, I'm aware that was the case. The government's own figures however (and they are doctored to fuck) show a massive increase in the past few years.

What is more immoral, squeezing those who've already got fuck all (see the past 10 years) or squeezing those that already have too much? Anyway, I don't expect to change your mind at all, just general "i really should be working" ranting on blue moon.

So I have been on the shop floor all day covering l, not been on sonce yesterday.

Any interesting developments on here or just more of the same?
Is it worth reading back the pages, I am asking?

As it happens it's Copenhagen (and nearby Ballerup) I visit the most, but I digress. I agree it's got worse lately, but I put that entirely down to austerity, which we voted for. Rightly or wrongly, we did.

And thankfully, we are out of that now and I genuinely believe the brakes can come off on public spending again. There are a few hard right in the Tories who favour tax cuts above all else, but most do not. Most recognise we need to start rebuilding now.

No problem. Nice to have a sensible debate with someone who does throw in "Liar Johnson" or other such childish crap in every sentence.

Cheers
