No it's not as simple as that ( Corbyn vs Brexit).
You said a Miliband government if elected and we had remained in the EU would have done far more economic damage than Brexit at a time when you were predicting dire economic effects of Brexit.
That was plainly ridiculous and shows you are purely and simply a tribal Tory at heart.
You will vote for and support them come what may.
Admit it.
I don't need to "admit" anything Len. I would never vote Labour under any circumstances ever. I seriously considered voting LibDem when I was supporting Remain, and said so openly on here a number of times.

I have no recollection of saying anything at all about Millibrain, although I thought he was far too left wing and yes Brexit under him would have been an utter disaster as well. The only way Brexit makes even an atom of sense (and then not much) is with a right wing Tory government in charge, one that will do the right things to create a pro-business environment necessary to protect the economy and jobs. Left wing governments put investors off - the very last thing we need if we have left the EU and need to maximise investment in the UK.

"Because, no offence, I don’t think you’re fucking involved in the day to day running of the Labour Party or spend that much time within the party."

If you weren't suggesting falsehood, why could I possibly take offence? Maybe your idea of "within the party" doesn't include three hours canvassing today.
You must have better things to do with your time.....;-)

Just joking!!!

Farage down to 5% according to this "SavantaComRes poll for The Sunday Telegraph puts the Tories on 41 per cent - the highest level in one of the firm's surveys since the last general election. Labour remains eight points behind, but has risen to 33 per cent - its highest level since April. Meanwhile the proportion of voters planning to back the Brexit Party has reached a new low, at 5 per cent, following Nigel Farage's announcement that he would withdraw candidates from seats won by the Conservatives in 2017, to help Boris Johnson deliver Brexit. "

One problem with that reply.
You state that Brexit would have been an utter disaster under Miliband.
But Brexit would not have happened under Milband - his policy was no referendum (and therefore Remain) had Labour won in 2015.
Despite your strong support for Remain you nevertheless stated that Brexit under the Tories was still preferable to Remain under a Milliband Government.
The conclusion being that your tribal support for the Tories was stronger than your support for Remain.

FFS - nobody

I need to break a rule and skip a good few pages - there is so much bollocks being posted on here in desperation to suggest that this Labour initiative is anything more than utterly ill-thought through bollocks

Or just not post on this thread as clearly you’re far to knowledgeable than us mere lot.

Posted this is a different thread in Off Topic, but think it’s pertinent in here so apologies for repeating it:
Things can get heated on here, especially in the politics sub-forum, but perhaps we should all take a step back and treat each other a bit more courteously. It’s a City forum at the end of the day, and there’s no need to be a dick to other people just because they have different views.
Obviously things will get heated with an election on the way, but let’s not be knobheads about it. We don’t want to have to thread ban people if we can avoid it, but will do if necessary.

Corbyn is still rooted in the student protest movements of the '60's, despite the evidence of his own eyes, he clings to
the belief that this bankrupt philosophy is what we should adopt, he's a zealot, a man child, that just can not countenance
that his thinking is flawed. The tragedy, is that a once respected party is in the grip of such people because, in the main,
of the introduction of a £3 a pop membership, that instantly became the new home of far left nutters throughout the land.
The biggest hit to the Conservative campaign now, would be Labour binning this poison once and for all, sadly for them,
he's going for the last chance dance, and unless the polls are miles out, if they stick with him, they're screwed for years.

love hearing this argument - on what planet do people really believe that the next Labour leader WHOEVER it was wouldn’t get the same level of abuse given to Corbyn, it’s an age old tactic to constantly say ‘if the opposition had a different leader they’d be a serious threat’ - it’s bollox, if you are anti Labour, you always will be - this works both ways of course - No entrenched Labour supporter will give credit to a Tory leader, will dig up anything to smear the opposition. This is Politics and always will be. Not a hope nowadays with social media, fake memes and open forums. No PM will satisfy.

Obviously polls can’t always be trusted, but it seems the tories are gaining support.

What’s interesting is that working class people are abandoning labour. It’s not a surprise though. Labours transformation into a more remain/ London based party is making lots of traditional labour areas feel forgotten about

The Brexit party has pretty much endorsed Conservatives, so I don’t think many of their voters will care if they got wiped out so long as the Tories can deliver a hardline Brexit.

Doesn’t please me to say it but I think a Tory majority is nailed on.

Recent history tells us

1/ don't believe polls
2/ there is a long way to go
3/ the current setup is just about incapable of delivering a WORKING majority. ( remember Mayday got a majority )
