Well there's a complete waste of time, it's the safest Labour seat in the UK give or take.

And something Gorton, Abbey Hey, Leve, Longsight, Rusholme, Whalley Range and Fallowfield should are rightly proud of being.

We made an error once letting in a Lib-dem as councilor once and she was fucking useless

Why can you not vote labour?

Leader or policies

Or both?

This is not a direct dig at you the following but I have said already I just don't get if someones values are that of labour the idea then of conservatism is the polar opposite.
I don't understand how people can so easily switch, when I was dissolutioned with labour I voted green as at least they were akin to my core beliefs.

In most constituencies Labour voters will be mostly Remainers. Even if they think Corbyn's fence-sitting (tightrope-walking sounds less pejorative) is a mistake, the LibDems can't win. It will be between Labour under Corbyn with no overall majority, or Liar Johnson? Who you gonna vote for?

Very untrue, both sides(depressing) shout very loud and very long. When you agree with one it just passes you by more, such is life. If we want to avoid boring opponents we should put this long standing nonsense to bed once and for all. People are strong in their opinions but only have so many ways of expressing it, the election is a while off so we can joyfully expect much more repetitive shouting on a daily basis.

We have done it for well over 3 years on brexit so a few thousand Tory I’m alright jack and fantasy left wing policies rants should be a walk in the park. This only applies if the Tories haven’t closed down saId park.

I think come voting day chippy will still love a pound note and Vic will still have his student union pamphlet safely on his bedside table.
Yeah, you’re probably right. On a vaguely related note, someone recently proposed putting a daily limit on how many posts people could make in the politics forum, suggesting that it would improve the quality of debate and help stop some of the endless, repetitive arguments that occur. Not sure it’s an idea I’m entirely comfortable with or if it’d even be workable, but can see some merit in the suggestion.

I suppose it depends on how close to the centre line you are in the first place as to how easily you can be swayed. I am very anti Corbyn which doesn’t help.

Like I say though I am undecided currently.

Read the policies and if they fit with you then corbyn is a minor issue, as you vote for your MP not the PM.

Bar a few old clause 4 ideas (re-nationalisation mainly) the majoriry of policies are what would be classed as centre left in any other countrys tbf.

Seems a good idea for a trial I guess, on a side note is it worth having a brexit and general election plus labour Tory threads all running? Maybe a one off general election thread until the result comes in? Might be easier to mod just the one they are all linked and nothing new is gonna happen brexit wise.

His tax proposals on inheritance tax are pretty offensive.

For example in Germany, a parent dying and leaving an €800k estate to two kids would mean no tax payable since the allowance is €400k each. This is different but broadly the same effect as in the UK.

Corbyn's proposal as I understand it is that £100k would be tax free and then the rest taxed at income tax rates. So with each kid getting roughly £350k each, they have a tax bill if about £200k between them.

£200k trousered for government where none was taken before.

(For simplicity, assumes £1 = €1. Logic stands)

Is that your only comment 24hrs a day on here, labours tax proposals?

You don't like them, we get it.

Plenty more poliices to debate and as I was suggesting people should weigh up the pros and cons of the full policy range before deciding where to put the X.

I didn't make a mistake, I merely simplified it for brevity. If you are on £2m a year, effectively your rate is 47% on everything, near as dammit.

And by the way, I'm cool with your lack of apology for your erroneous criticism.
I do apologise. I really didn't think anyone would be so crass as to moan about the hardship of people on £2m a year.

The unfortunate truth mate is that there's two things which do have a bearing on a child's intelligence. Nature and nurture. Clever, engaged parents tend to produce clever kids. Thick, uninterested parents tend not to. Sorry but you really will just have to get over that.

I know it sucks, and i know its the done thing to tell your kids they can achieve anything they want. But if little Johnny is a fat pudding with dumpy legs, telling him he can be the next Usain Bolt is just a lie. That's how this genetics thing works.
Wow

Another one having a conversation with himself. Carry on and invent some other points to argue with. I'm sure you can amuse yourself for hours. Where did I mention hardship for such people? Nowhere. Another thing you made up.

All I've said is I think 47% is enough. That's my view and I'm entitled to it. Every other post from you ranging from just plain wrong, to misquotes to diversionary shit is just that, shit. A complete waste of time. I think 47% is enough, that's my view. End of.

I await your next misquote, invention or diversionary bollocks with no interest whatsoever.
