Var debate 2019/20

I was wondering just how hard it would be for some tech savvy person to listen in and record the refs headset during games. Surely its doable, I'm not advocating breaking the law ;) but would find it super interesting

How do Leicester retake the penalty following encroachment by Madison. It’s one thing the VAR making arbitrary subjective decisions but referees getting the laws wrong is unforgivable and nobody has picked them up on it. Encroachment by an attacker, resulting in no goal, is a free kick for the defending team. Vardy takes penalty and misses, Madison encroaches and scores. Penalty missed, attacker encroached, free kick to Brighton. Dean seems to have reinterpreted the laws and allowed Vardy to retake. A shocker.....

I thought that was a very odd decision but assumed that, whilst it seemed ridiculous, that the ref must have got it right or a lines man, 4th etc would have corrected him

All that would be solved if they treated penalties in games as they do in shootouts. I.e if it’s saved then the ball is dead and in my world would then restart with a goal kick

Not saying I agree but I Tried to research this and then hit a dead end when I
Couldn’t find our who’s actually providing VAR to the premier league, but I didn’t find a list of approved providers so I guess it’s one of them?

The lack of transparency in any part of VAR is proof itself of how crooked it is.

It looks like its Hawkeye providing VAR. I was under the impression it was just the goal line tech, but they do VAR too. I had a butchers on their home site, interesting to say the least who their sponsors are. Heres the link to the page i was looking at https://www.hawkeyeinnovations.com/sports/football

a company called Vokkera provide the intercom system its the squadra system apparently ,as used by most european leagues and NHL hockey

Kammy has just said on Goals on Sunday that it should be the defenders arm, as you can block a shot with your arm as long as it’s in a natural position.

He also said it’s irrelevant because even taking Zouma’s arm out, he’s still playing him on.

It’s fucking horrific this.

Put it this way. Due to the cheating by match officials I will not be watching games via the inexplicably restrictive UK broadcast of live game rules.
I am not ceasing to support City. I just will not pay towards the corrupt system.

am not a sky or BT customer not been for about 8 years maybe longer ? and i watch football by links but after yesterday even that is stopping
its getting me hot under the collar when you see cheating by the officials and VAR and enough is enough. am just sticking to going city games and watching them when i don't go

VAR is a tool for cheating and giving liverpool the advantage when they need help like yesterday. it was a game changer and deflating for palace and the heads went down and next thing liverpool score, ok palace scored again but that should have been 2.1 to palace

Having just seen the Palace goal ruled out ,than it is impossible to understand how the push on Sterling wasnt a penalty against the dippers Unless the game is bent what other reasoning is there ? Which it has to be dipper gets a slightly push in the back when defending goal disallowed. Dipper slightly pushes a attacker when defending no foul/penalty. There we have it in a nutshell just give the league to the dippers now before the league becomes to embarrassing to watch.... which it isn't far of for me

The PL VAR system when checking for Raheem's offsides can operate down to distances as small as a planck. This is equal to 1.616255(18)×10−35 m. To the layman it will be the thinnest of thins that equates to less than faintest idea of a hair on yer 'ead. When checking for Salah's offsides it uses a rough-sawn plank which is readily available from B&Q in lengths varying from 1.8m to 3.0m.

the unrest in the crowd yesterday at the etihad was at boiling point with VAR and the officials. even if the goal does not affect the game and result its the manner of the pin point the review and time it took to make shore its offside unlike the liverpool game when mo salah goal was given with seconds and no review or lines put up

i will say this now its going to kick off big time with the city fan. and trouble is only a matter of time and fans will run on to the pitch and kick off because we all have a phones and radio's and will get the info back saying its wrong again, and like i said yesterday VAR no goal did not affect the result but the fans was up in arms and booing and fuck VAR

I had 20 quid on 2-1 City and was pissed off when Raheem scored but even that soon disappeared when I saw how outrageous the fucking decision was .the red line was at such a tangent even a year one maths student would question it.Im so pissed off with VAR and for once pisshead Merson was right when he said might as well give dippers te title now after the palace fiasco

Even the NBCSN commentators and pundits are now calling VAR—especially as it relates to offside assessment—a farce. That should be a real concern for the league given how much they are focused on growing their market in the USA.

Redcafe virtually 100% saying that City are being cheated out of decisions, and that Dippers are being given the title by VAR decisions .

That picture has two balls on it. There is better one out there, I assume the real picture with one ball, where he is onside.
