They deserve to win fuck all in Scotland. Duplicitous bastards. Midlothian is interesting, Danielle Rowley has done ok but I think she will be pushed hard by SNP.

Well, i'd say you are the winner of that bet. 6 seats, close enough to 5.

Like all single issue parties they have to keep banging on about that single issue or they become irrelevant. It also conveniently distracts from the pigs ear they are making of running their country and general failure to deliver.

I gathered that up to election night the talk from Wee Jimmie K was the national issues of health, education, finance, etc, and the minute the results were in she flipped the coin and, hey presto, the election was all about the Big IndyRef. I think it would be a bit of a laugh if Boris were to tell her that she wouldn't need a referendum - come 1 June 2020 Scotland is independent. The border agents are spread across Cumbria and Northumberland. The last English groat has headed north and the only currency they have is a Scottish pooooond! 'Twould liven up a wet Summer!

No. We said 5 -9 was a draw mate. What was your take on the results?

I was surprised by the exit poll tbh, didnt quite believe the poll, but 48 is still more than i expected. labour and libdems, no surprises, Tories losing as many as they did is for me a positive sign.

The margins are incredible. orkney was the biggest surprise, 102 seat swing, pretty damn close, never saw that coming. Moray too, pretty close, for a brexit leaning fishing constituency.

They should be granted independence pending a 'deal' that includes a mutually acceptable solution to the border with England. It would have to be a hard border obviously to maintain the integrity of the EU if Scotland remains. This could drag on for years ;-)

There were some incredibly close results including Swinsons. I do think that given the paucity of choice between LD, Tory and Labour, a great many voters like me are lending their support to SNP based on their domestic policies and ability to defend Scotland’s interests at Westminster. Independence is not a given but I do think she has earned a strong mandate for a second referendum and permission to make the case to the country. I just hope that what they put forward is realistic and reasonably honest. Then who knows...

Agree with that. Think it’s also interesting that she’s shifting the narrative away from leaders and onto the sovereignty of the people. There’ll be much media floss about Salmond in the coming weeks, but the gradual shift in Scotland is bigger than individuals and needs to be taken seriously.

I wish they would give her another referendum, she would lose and then we can get her the fuck out of the way.... The biggest one trick pony in political history... She should have stayed on crackerjack ... Irritating, poisonous little ****......!

Her party have been runni g the country for ten fucking years. It ain't a one issue party. Do a bit of research about what they have done.

Whats the consensus up there now mate? Do the majority want indy? Or is it too close to call
The SNP got 45% of the vote. Scottish Labour 18.7%. if they realise that it will always be Tory the we have nearly 64% in the ref. A lot of pressure will build. They are facing extinction up here. They now know that there will never be a left wing UK govt. They will either choose redemption or. oblivion. I'm hoping they see sense. But, let's face it, it's Scottish fucking Labour.

Some of that 19% would rather vote tory, than for independence. And i know we have touched on this before, but not all of the 45% would necessarily vote gor independence.

Not arguin the point, just highlighting the shades inbetween. Margins, but marginal is what it is.

w to ask.
I'm not convinced we will go for it. I am convinced we should be able to ask.

Ruth Davidson had her number but unfortunately stepped down.

Free prescriptions and free education might have something to do with that PB

Clear about what she wants and a brilliant communicator. When she's asked a question, she gives an answer instead of blustering or trying to avoid answering. You may not like what she says but, like Farage, she's great at saying it.
