Nicola Sturgeon

There are plenty that vote SNP that don’t want independence, we’ve even been told on this thread by their voters.

You must be forgetting the referendum only 5 years ago, that was “once in a generation”.

Once Brexit is over with and things settle down, and for that matter the cold hard reality comes out of how damaging independence will be, the independence feeling will die a quick death.

Yeah that 'once in a generation' line can go fuck itself, along with all other vacuous meaningless slogans 'brexit means brexit' etc erc. The generation has been sped through, so much has changed, more than in many actual generations. I wish it hadn't, myself, but in reality it has.

Re the reality and desire, maybe, maybe not. Tine will tell. To think however that brexit actually happening will reduce the chances, is imho naive and unlikely.

This "once in a generation" pish, was a comment by Salmond, one man. No one person decides what our country does.

As for "when Brexit settles down"? Good fucking luck with that one. Remember 62% of us don't want it. It will be an unmitigated economic disaster. Add in the Etonian lying fat **** Bawbag, selling out to his fellow lying bastard pal Trump and the whole thing turns to shit. These realities won't dampen Indy, if you believe that you're kidding yourself on.

And your current leader Sturgeon, who said it multiple times.

A FTA with the EU, with a transition period, isn’t going to be the disaster that a no deal would be. £79bn worse off over 15 years is the prediction by the IFS. Corbyn and Sturgeon want to spend 3 times that in the next 10 years. Both are committing to that level of spending should Labour get into power and that’s the SNP’s price for getting them there.

The independence movement will crumble when the issues around a border, currency, North Sea Oil, the fact you’re not meeting and will likely be further away in the event of independence the EU standards to join. The latest noise is that they’re looking to make it harder and harder to join the EU. Expansionism is holting and you aren’t now, as a single country, at the levels of deficit required.

I hate to break it to you but the EU aren’t going to want an independent Scotland.

The likelihood is that the Tories will get a majority and in 5 years time Brexit will be a thing of the past, when life has gone on and the realities are in black and white, no sane Scottish person will vote for independence.

You add to that it’s still close to 50/50 even now, in a political crisis when Sturgeon is getting away with bare-faced lying and you realise you’ve got very little chance, if any.

In that regard I’m presuming you think Sturgeon should go fuck herself as she was one of the people who said it, not only that but repeated it?

You won't be too surprised to read I don't agree with your assessment. Let's wait and see.

There you have it, i don't always agree with Oor Nic'.

No I’m not surprised but I’d be interested to talk about the specifics as to why Scottish independence will not happen, nor would it be successful if anyone wishes.
