Keir Starmer

I was in London taking to someone last week and a new movement (akin to the opposite of momentum) is starting which I can’t give the name of yet but is getting high level huge financial backing and support. It is essentially a movement that is aiming to take labour back to the centre ground and it is working on not winning the next election but the one after. It recognises that it is highly likely Boris will serve two terms. Will post more after the kids football.
Fascinating. Tell us more when you can. The opposite of momentum is stasis, they could call it that!

With the majority he’s got, and the state of the Labour Party, this is almost a racing certainty. Well done guys, well done.

It will be called renaissance. Might get in trouble for that but keep an eye out for it! Multi million pound movement. They want to rebuild the red wall and be some way between Blair and Corbyn. Closer to Blair I would add.

Maybe you can explain why these policies always poll so well amongst all voters? I am not saying that people like socialism per say but they like some socialist policies its a fact that you can't get away from. I'm guessing the populism is a taboo in your books despite the clear evidence it a bit like calling a far right racist a racist they tend to throw it back and you and accuse you of using it as a defence mechanism.
Maybe you can explain why, if they poll so well, nobody EVER votes for them?
Never, so why keep on with something, if after umpteen decades it gets rejected time and again?
Somehow, I knew racism would come into it, even if a discussion is about wallpaper it'll be mentioned again.

I'm starting to believe Labour have been infiltrated by Tory operatives to destroy Labour from the inside out. They can't be this out of touch.
You'd think that nobody could be so blind to reality, they've been told ever since they put in a Marxist serial
protester that they would have no chance of winning an election, and even when put against probably the most inept
PM on record, they were still miles away.
Labour is becoming a cult.

Someone in the Labour Party wants the Labour Party to be electable?

Are you sure you’ve got this right?

McCluskey and Lansman will direct the NEC and between them they will crown the clear choice of McDonnell which is RLB and Rayner.

Votes required will be being signed up as we speak.
I am also convinced this will happen - tempted to increase my bet

He is correct, we should be able to choose every generation if we want to keep them or become a republic, as should every crown territory.

A monachy is allowed by the will of parliament and the people, they are not in absolute power anymore so the question should be asked from time to time.
The last 3 and a half years have proved beyond all doubt that haveing a politician as head of state is a bloody terrible idea. They'd all sell their grannies into slavery if it was of benefit to their carears.
I'd also only consider changing FPTP if there was a way of the electorate ejecting a party from government.

Rebecca Long Bailey.
Are Jon Lansman and the rest of the Momentum leadership clinically insane to back her?
What a winner for the Tory Party. Stanley Johnson has it spot on.

There are bound to be some good paintings to come out of this.

Starmer talking out of his tree I see, he wants an end to factionalism when Labour is teeming with it. Momentum pulling the strings, he shoud be calling for the end of momentum.

Really.

How many CLPs do you go to to see this momentum infiltration?

Because mine is the same lot who have been gping for years long before momentum existed.
