So in summary it's the UK's immigration system discriminating those people. We are the ones making it more difficult to enter the country for those outside of the EU.

I really don't see how this can be pinned on the EU being discriminatory. You might not like FOM which is fair enough dependant on your views of immigration, but to say this is the fault of the EU being discriminatory is extremely unfair.

You also seem to forget that we have higher net immigration into the country from non EU countries than we do with EU countries.
Sorry - not been logged in foe a couple of days.

Our discussion started because I posted the simple fact that the EU's FOM is inherently discriminatory against immigration from the ROW - it is a simple fact.

Reading your post back now the points seem to have been totally missed by you and I cannot actually understand the comments in this post - they are so far from the facts.

If you are still interested I will engage to explain - just want to make sure that you are bothered before I make the effort.

Oh dear ..... we don't subscribe to FOM ... thats Schengen .... only Freedom of movement of Labour.

Dunning Kruger effect in full effect here.
Fuck - now that is the height of irony demonstrated - right there

You really don't read things before commenting - that explains why your posts are plain silly

We simply have a difference of opinion.

You believe the EU are being discriminatory in immigration policy. I believe it is the UK that is discriminatory because we control that immigration policy.

The EU don't give any guidelines to us on that, it is entirely our choice if a doctor from India comes into the country, the EU are not involved in that process. They simply require freedom of movement because it is needed between EU members for the European project to work.

Probably.
I doubt that we've turned away many qualified clinicians wherever they're from, and the unqualified EU citizen isn't going to be working as a bloody doctor.
Get a grip.
A couple of years ago I would have been really quite surprised at you totally missing the point(s)

Pathetic.
Just pathetic.
Are you going to ask for your donation back now thick de Pfeffel realises Big Ben won’t be bonging?

Two weeks tonight.

Can't wait as I've had a 47 year hatred of the Common Market / EU / Ever Closer Union.
Hatred, bit weird. Should have found a better way of spending 47 years then. 1st Feb will be exactly the same as 31 Jan, I f you’re expecting life changing change you’re going to be disappointed.

I'm not sure why you'd expect MB to take time off his "no one's stopping you leaving" nonsense to read that. But are you really endorsing unicorn ideas that entail leaving the EU and then rejoining as a member of a new category of EU membership?

I know you'll say I've misunderstood but that's the gist of this odd piece by Tony Czarnecki (who seems to think the EU is the body best placed to form the World Government needed to stave off disaster).
"People want more freedom but we need to sacrifice some freedom and sovereignty for Humanity to survive."
Strange you feel the need to jump in on a point I am making to another poster @Mëtal Bikër

Also, I would have thought the purpose of my post to him would have been obvious - he has spoken for years about the appropriateness of the EFTA model - he has been one of the few people to actually give thought to 'middle ground' options amongst the 1000s of post which are either black or white on Brexit.

So I posted an article to him to discuss certain models - simple as that

I would suggest it is what the thread(s) should be about - discussion - rather than the continous need some seem to have to score points and run others down

For me it's all about national sovereignty. I was the equivalent of a Corbynite when I voted Leave in 1975 and now I'm a Conservative but fundamentally my views on this artificial construct haven't changed.

Sovereignty hast made the slightest difference to my life for the last 56 years , won’t make any difference to my life for the next however many. Being in the EU hasn't stopped me ever doing anything in my life Ive ever wanted to do. Doubt its ever made any difference to yours nor will so why you’d hate it is beyond my understanding.

Were you really intending to repeat your misunderstanding of earlier this week?
Surely you are not implying that I'm deliberately misinterpreting what someone has said in order to misrepresent them and repeating myself in the process? It would be terrible if this started happening in the brexit thread.

I can't understand why you don't hate it :)

This thread is like an addiction for some I’m starting to think.

I think it’s around about 80% pots calling kettles black, the racists!
About 23%.... I can explain it to you but I can’t understand it for you!

And every now again about 2%, some interesting debate breaks out.

Oh and the other 5% is usually the screwing of statistics and figures to suit your agenda.

Not forgetting those who regularly post in the thread to point out how pointless regularly posting in the thread is ;)

Statistically speaking they rank lower than the other lot that jingo-ise the whole thing with catchy slogans.
They should leave it alone.

Try Leavers on what sort of Brexit...

Mcfc1632 quoting some fanciful idea of leaving but rejoining in some new special "zone", and MB still batting for EFTA...
Ha ha - that just shows that you do not read posts properly before commenting

You used to - but this new, seemingly more bitter, you seems not to take the time to

Doesn’t that make 110%?
