Reading through this and previous forums re the bad experiences many of our supporters have suffered when in Madrid, i think i must have been lucky in the past. I went to both our previous games in the CL there, keeping a low profile with no colours on and arriving at the ground early- im giving this one a miss but confident we can progress over the two legs. Theres a small bar on the ground floor of an apartment block to the rear of where we are in the stadium, its more like a cafe but a few blues were in there before the SF game with no problems that i saw although i joined the queue at the entrance early to gain access. No id was requested from me either game when i was at the entrances. I would advise anyone to avoid walking anywhere near the opposite end of the Bernabeu at any time, its where their 'ultras' are located, apparently they gather early in the bars at that end of the stadium and are known for random assaults. Theres plenty of underground stations near our end of the stadium to get to the city centre if you need, i walked back and went into a few bars there was no trouble but hey, we lost both matches and this time the mood may be different. Good luck if your going and keep safe- best pub i found was 'Taberna de Angel Sierra' in the centre, traditional old pub selling food and guinness, nice crowd no idiots.
