I think the reason alot of us fans arent pleased with what Pep said is because it felt like a person attack on us fans. We get it from the press/media every bloody day and its wearing thin I am sick to death of these negative stories every single day. We have had VAR fucking us over on many games , lots of away fans in and around us , with Port Vale being the worse for me.
Than our manager comes out and has a pop at us as well....bloody hell.
As a lot of us said we spend a small fortune on following City and to be honest I spend to much. Plus what with travelling to home matches the missus gives up alot as we miss most of the weekend
We are up for the utd game but part of me is now thinking is it worth the 600 mile round trip again (7 time so far this season) a stay over , two days of work with no pay and for what our manager to have a pop because we couldnt afford the match on sunday and to come up on Wednesday as well we arent all retired millionaires.

Yes, I agree. It’s obviously a very touchy subject amongst fans. He’s only saying the same thing that most of them say, too.

He says positive things, too, sometimes. “We has our people with us”, that kind of thing. It does matter to players. You can see it when they do that gee-up thing to the crowd sometimes. It raises them when they need it.

I don’t have an issue with Pep bringing it up but I do worry it will be a reason he leaves us.

You cant have it both ways, he tinkers , it’s what he does, as long as we win more than we lose which we do then we stick with it.We aren’t going to get a manager that wins more trophies and plays better football than this. He is what he his with all his idiosyncrasies, he won’t change for me it’s all worth it. If you don’t like it there may be a manager more to your tastes along next , won’t win as much though.

Pep's comments did piss me off. It invites criticism. He seems to know how difficult it is for players to perform when they play every three days in so many competitions but doesn't know why it is hard for our fans to turn up to 3 games a week across the country and continent with a variation in prices, thoughtless timing of ticket releases and a long tough month with no pay until this week for most. The busiest time in the calendar coincides with the poorest financially at least from a cashflow perspective. We also have a semi final on wednesday against our main rivals. Sit at home and watch a game against Fulham on TV and bring the house down on Wednesday. Correct prioritising. It isn't the case that 55k can make every home game.

If the club did more it would help. How about thinking...this one is on bbc so lets fill the ground and put to bed emptihad jibes from the uneducated. Let's do family of four for a tenner or score. 10quid adult 5quid kids. Quid for u10s. Something like that. Get 50k in. Carabao cup semi lets do something a bit more expensive but that ensures a full house.

Pep, for your benefit the more the club absorb revenue without thinking of fans the more likely there will be some poorer attendances. The BBC actually do us justice by stating how high our attendances usually are. They could have had someone from a fans group tell them how tough this time of the year is. 39k is still decent. As people have said Barca struggle for lesser games.

He wants us to turn up and bring the noise. The club wants the emptihad jibes to go and to sell a quality atmosphere. Well us fans know a pretty good way to achieve this. And Pep complaining, unless it is more aimed at the board than us, isn't the right way to go.

And Soriano and cronies; this is what you get when you keep hiking seasoncard prices up well above the cost of living rise every single year. When you charge £50 for Madrid and decide to take it out of our banks on 10th February even though the game isn’t until late March.

People have sacked off Cup Schemes because of these continual price hikes.

With Christmas and Ny just having been and gone, many haven’t even been paid since then (many get paid this coming Friday).

I’m getting sick to fucking death of the club. They do not understand our fan base. And it’s not like Soriano has just turned up, he’s been here the best part of a decade now and he neither gets us not gives a shit about us.

I disagree he plays players who are in form and then drops them the next game for someone who isn’t playing well. All great if the game gets won,that hasn’t always happened this season. To say we wouldn’t win much with someone else is just nonsense. This club can compete with anyone in the transfer market and the next manager I believe will be a winner

He said yesterday he doesn’t understand why the crowd was low. But the same thing is happening at the clubs he loves to talk about. There’s a reason why crowds are getting lower.

All he’s ever done is talk about Barça Madrid Bayern Liverpool and United in glowing terms about how big they are. Talks about Anfield like it’s godlike (that interview on Catalan tele last Summer).

And he comes out with things like “hopefully our fans [*big sigh*] can come more people than today, hopefully can support us more”...“yeah it was not full, I don’t know the reason why but yeah it was not full”... about us.
