Not sure - see @Tricky_Trev 's post above.
CAS appears to be the only appeal route

Judicial recourse to the Swiss Federal Tribunal is allowed on a very limited number of grounds, such as lack of jurisdiction, violation of elementary procedural rules (e.g. violation of the right to a fair hearing) or incompatibility with public policy.

If we lose the appeal and this is upheld it could set us back years. I have no doubt Pep and key players will leave and the lack of money and the attraction of champions league football will mean poor recruitment. A poorer team will then struggle for a top four finish in two years time. In those two years our rivals will strengthen even more. This is a critical time.

The fact that all UEFA appeals are subject to the Swiss courts tells you what a fucking mockery this is. If this charade doesn’t inspire us to win it this year, nothing will. Win it, shit in it and send it back to it a black bin bag. Via Hermes.

Here’s the UEFA announcement in full

“UEFA takes note of the decision of the independent Adjudicatory Chamber of the Club Financial Control Body (CFCB), issued today, which included the following summary of its content and effect to be announced as required by the Procedural Rules governing the CFCB:

“Following a hearing held on 22 January 2020 the Adjudicatory Chamber of the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB), chaired by José da Cunha Rodrigues, has today notified Manchester City Football Club of the final decision on the case which was referred by the CFCB Chief Investigator.

The Adjudicatory Chamber, having considered all the evidence, has found that Manchester City Football Club committed serious breaches of the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations by overstating its sponsorship revenue in its accounts and in the break-even information submitted to UEFA between 2012 and 2016.

The Adjudicatory Chamber has also found that in breach of the regulations the Club failed to cooperate in the investigation of this case by the CFCB.

The Adjudicatory Chamber has imposed disciplinary measures on Manchester City Football Club directing that it shall be excluded from participation in UEFA club competitions in the next two seasons (ie. the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons) and pay a fine of € 30 million.

The decision of the Adjudicatory Chamber is subject to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). If Manchester City Football Club exercises that right the full reasoned decision of the Adjudicatory Chamber will not be published prior to publication of the final award by the CAS.”

As noted by the Adjudicatory Chamber, the club has the right to appeal this decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Therefore, UEFA will not be commenting further on this decision at this stage.”

——————-

The most outrageous bit is the last sentence .... don’t make me laugh.

Funny they’ve also expanded the window up to 2016 and called our auditors crooks as well as the Board

There’s only one question - please show us your evidence?

Come on City

Seems fair, they're not even going to tell anyone what their reasoning for the ban is if we choose to take it to CAS........

Looks like we've been caught with our nickers down on this IMO. I don't think CAS will get us anywhere and as a result everything we've done looks to be tainted. It's been a blast while it happened and perhaps we'll be heading back where we came from. Not that changes anything for me. Once a blue always a blue so to the rest...fuck 'em. CTID.

He’s confident over on Twitter.

This whole investigation has stopped our legal team from pressing on with their workload and I have to say I think UEFA are very, very brave doing what they have done. I would say they are actually somewhat stupid and this will be highlighted in the not too distant future.

They haven’t a fucking clue what we are holding. Not a scoot.

Massive gamble on their part.

Uefa are the equivalent in football governance as the UN are to diplomacy and the WHO are to preventative care.

A body where only sociopaths are entitled to hold positions of " authority " and accountable to no one hence the corruption that goes on unabated.

They care nought for public ridicule and the inept and insipid way they go about their " work " in football in fact they expect it.

All of their officials have I'Q'S smaller than their shoe sizes.

The sooner UEFA are disbanded the better for football.

Any overrule will have no impact on how they run the asylum in the future , remember sociopaths are unable to feel normal emotions like embarrassment

I don't think so, I think it was bollocks.

If we have broken the rules then it is in the margins. A few quid laundered through Etihad in order to meet a compliance target that would otherwise be missed by peanuts. So fucking what.

A compliance target which incidentally is entirely arbitrary and entirely imposed to try to fuck us over. Instead of being pilloried for narrowly missing and tweaking the books to try to comply, we should be awarded a fucking medal for even bothering to play their stupid game. A game entirely corrupt and bent from top to bottom. These vermin permiating the G15 and the upper echelons of football's governing bodies should be in prison for their wholesale corruption. And yet we are to be persecuted for marginally failing to comply with arbitrary corrupt rules? Do me a fucking favour.
If this is purely about the Etihad deal then the punishment is ridiculously harsh, and you’d fancy our chances of getting it overturned. The worry is that UEFA going balls out on this suggests there could be other stuff yet to come out. Impossible to say how this will play out at this stage.

You are arguing against ffp in general. If we paid 57 mill out 65 mill its hardly margins or slightly out in accounting terms. I'm not sure a defence of we didn't like the rules will get us very far.

The club have said they have done nothing wrong in regards to the rules. They are either lying or not. Personally I think they have inflated our worth but can UEFA prove it?

We are not going anywhere in a hurry.
