I think during the appeal period the ban is frozen.
So if the appeal takes say 12 months then we will be in next season.
Unless someone knows otherwise?

I should have said that unless CAS overturns the ban after ruling on it then we won't feature in the following seasons CL. What I was asking was if we have any other means of delaying any ban pending another legal challenge (I highly doubt it).

If there isn't then presumably we are looking at potentially years of litigation and only a retrospective overturning of any ban and damages.

ok, but aren’t we innocent until they prove beyond reasonable doubt we are guilty. I’m not convinced their “proof” will stand up to independent scrutiny, but we shall see.
Not sure.
In my opinion:
UEFA is not a court of law.
The bar to being found 'guilty' is much lower than in a court of law. They (UEFA) don't have to prove it beyond reasonable doubt.
They can find City 'guilty' if in their opinion there are reasonable grounds.
Again I'm not a lawyer, so confirmation needed!
Anyone out there?

If CAS decides in UEFA's favour we can (and I highly suspect would) take it to the Swiss courts. In which case UEFA would have to suspend the ban as the damages if we win in the Swiss courts would run into £100's of millions otherwise.

I can confirm UEFA is not a court of law.

That sounds good but is it fact or your opinion? Has any club taken UEFA to this court previously and had sanctions suspended?

Our offence appears to have been identified only because Der Spiegel made certain allegations based on emails hacked by Rui Pinto. Up to this point there had been no questioning of our accounts whatsoever, either by our accountants of UEFA's auditors. It seems very strange to me that a newspaper can have provoked such a dramatic reappraisal of work already done by such reputable specialists. And yet the reexamination seems to have gone hand in hand with a total failure to ask rather basic questions such as who is "HH" actually and who is Muhammed? Nor do the IC seem to have had any clear memory of who were related parties in 2014 and who were not. What appears to stand out is UEFA's ignorance of Abu Dhabi and their complete unawareness of it. I would appreciate enlightenment on these concerns if possible PB.

Further concern is that the FFP regulations seem deliberately opaque, so that what is accepted in one year can form the basis of draconian punishments for one of the "new" clubs if necessary later. I think therefore, that City have to challenge the lawfulness of FFP in the ECJ and get it ditched once and for all.
When is the film coming out.
