Surprised you're still alive to be honest, doubt you'll see the derby.

Serious question, if you don’t post for a few days (or hours even), who do we contact to pick up your cats before start eating your body?
Worsley has got my phone number so he can sort it out,i don't mind the cat eating me,there is enough to keep her going for about 2 yrs lol,so long as she doesn't eat my brain as i have arranged to leave that to science

They don't need it. Single cell organisms are well understood.

So, there was a confirmed case at Wythenshaw hospital yesterday. I am reliably informed that around 40 ICU nurses have been sent home to self isolate for 2 weeks. Now considerably understaffed to run certain units.

Informed by who? I’d suggest you phone BBC and Sky as this should be headline news

I didn’t know that. - sorry to hear that. Can’t you get your hands on some anti viral drugs, I know there’s a lot of talk on the Japanese end about the same policy of dispensing Preps for people with a higher risk to HIV exposure which seems to have worked really well. Extended self isolation and and anti virals could be an option.
I have been in consultation with my treatment specialist and they are not advising a change in course right now, primarily due to the complications of my current regiment, but also partly due to specific antivirals having not yet been proven effective beyond early research. If one is identified to have high-efficacy, and it is not likely to interfiere with my current treatment protocols or cause further complications, then they will likely advise it be added.

Until then, it is a matter of general hygiene, isolation (as possible), the prudent actions of others around me, and devilish good looks *hopefully* keeping the virus at bay.

Luckily I just had my latest in-hospital treatment last week, so I don’t need to visit again until the end of March.

The UK is moving into the next stage of its response to the coronavirus outbreak, England's chief medical officer has told MPs.

Professor Chris Whitty said the UK was "mainly" in the "delay" phase of the government's four-stage approach to COVID-19.

Efforts had initially been made to try and contain the spread of the disease, but Prof Whitty - who is helping to coordinate the UK's response - said it was now "optimistic" to believe this could be a success.

"We have moved from a situation where we are mainly in contain, with some delay built in, to we are now mainly delay," he told the House of Commons health committee.

The UK is now hoping to push back the peak of a coronavirus outbreak until the summer months, when there will be less winter pressures on the NHS and will allow more time to research the disease

However, the prime minister's spokesman later sought to clarify that the UK was still in the contain phase and, if a decision is made to move to the delay stage, then it would be announced publicly.

(Which is it boris)

After hearing from Prof Whitty, former Conservative leadership contender and now health committee chair Jeremy Hunt told Sky News: "The virus has now moved from contain to delay stage

"There are very active preparations for the final stage, the mitigate stage.

The four stages of UK's coronavirus response:

  • contain the virus
  • delay its transmission
  • research its origins
  • mitigate its impact
As time goes by, there would be measures that involved "changes to society", Prof Whitty said
