Rumours are that the PL will propose a 3-4 week suspension. They're deluded if they think we'll be able to start playing again at the start of April. Maybe they're just buying a bit of breathing time to work out what to do.

They are doing exactly what La Liga (2 weeks), Serie A (4 April), MLS (30 days) and Bundesliga (2April) are doing.

Which is the same as F1, tennis, golf.

I do wonder if it will. 4 weeks ago Italy were just statrting out on the stuff we're getting, 4 weeks laterish they're shutting schools and public gatherings. I cant see how they can start it again in a few weeks time.

Most likely scenario I assum is that they cant say season is over now and three teams get relegated - They would start legal action. They cant say let LFC have the title either because that means there has to be relegations - which means legal action. The only answer surely is to null and void the season and leave everyone where they are, IE no relegation, no titles awarded, its the only logical way I cnan see.

It's the only logical scenario for most sensible people but this is the PL we are talking about and the billions of pounds involved. Plenty of money riding on the dippers being crowned champions, no-one gives a stuff about who gets relegated or promoted other than those clubs obviously. The likes of Norwich, Villa, Watford etc are hoping for a null and void season, whereas WBA, Leeds and the League 1 & 2 sides involved in promotion might think differently.

Four weeks suspension is sensible it gives time for the authorities to think and plan , I reckon in the end it will be a void season, football isn’t the important thing at this moment in time

have to do likewise the situation is only going to get worse for clubs and players and in hours not days and weeks but in hours , we all know many players have the virus already without knowing it for certain or have been tested.

Pointless playing the games this weekend.

If Mendy is unavailable because of the virus , who knows who else at our club has the virus and is it fair that other games are postponed because of it ala Arsenal with Arteta and we have to play FFS.

Of course it is not so commonsence not that the authorities have much of it must prevail this time at least.
