I'm sure everyone has their own ideas as to what is and isn't the correct response to this. As of now we only have the other countries that are a few weeks ahead of us to gauge the potential seriousness.
This shouldn't be political though it will invariably turn out that way. The fact is this is somewhat unprecedented in modern times and for that reason all options should be on the table.
Right now I think it's up to individuals to respect the gravity of the situation and take all preventive measures open to them.
This is a shitshow which requires us all pulling together. Not an opportunity to point score.
Stay safe blues. Some things in life are far more important than being right on the Internet.

Genuine question, I know this quite a fast moving thread and a fast moving situation but thought I'd get some opinions:

I'm supposed to be playing football tonight at 7, would you bother? Also been offered tickets tonight for Stereophonics at the Arena, I'm not that arsed about them at all but I don't have much else on, would you bother?

My mates birthday tomorrow so we were planning a big day on the piss around the Burnley game, still going to go out for it but is it worth trying to stick in a particular area in town instead of walking round to loads of places?

I would do everything but the concert.

We do. People will do what is required to stay alive, and if they don't there's martial law.

Explain it to people, and they will understand especially when they know that in 1 mnth it will be sorted. The longer it's left the hrder and longer it will take to eradicate.

No chance that is going to happen when the vast majority of people know they aren't in any real danger. Especially when there is no guarantee that in a month's time it wouldn't just flare up again.

The little one goes to a language class on Friday's at Antz In Your Pantz in Timperley. That is closed for a deep clean. No explanation given i.e has someone been there who has it
Hope not my lad was there for a birthday party a few weeks ago.

I believe from reading the Italian papers about Lombardy that those stricken Italian towns are now virus-free. it's doable. I'd rather stay indoors for a month than get it and risk dying. The government wants us to get infected but in a controlled manner. They said it. get your head around that.

We'd be better off infecting the young and healthy in a controlled manner if that' their plan.

That is their plan, the plan is to lockdown the elderly first.

My head office in Hammersmith doing full deep clean over the weekend and no reported cases i know of yet at work. Hopefully just precautions to try and keep people safe.

In two minds about going to the gym with all this. Shared equipment and sweat everywhere. Dont know what to do for the best. Got to exercise but dont want this virus

I'm in the same boat. I decided to exercise at anti-social times when no one else is there and I wash hands every ten minutes. There's loads less people in my gym.
