How about if the league is cancelled but the cup competitions can be completed, once champions league/ europa quarters are decided, they draw one leg at a neutral ground and play behind closed doors if necessary, the same for fa cup.

Yes I’ve edited my post. Changed “avoid” to “limit”. It’s a question of which clubs the PL would least fear taking on in court.

Voiding the league for me presents the fairest option as nothing is won yet and, as others have said, there are no guarantees the positions some clubs are in will improve or worsen

Mate, I really hate them. It's obvious from my posts in the Liverpool thread. I openly questioned their fitness levels, I still wonder whether it's normal to go nearly 2 seasons in top form without rotating your crucial players and without them getting any serious injuries. I think also that the season was bent, only after they got a big lead we started to get favourable decisions.

Still, Khaldoon knows better than us. If he agrees to award them the title, I won't be upset. In times like these there are more important things than Liverpool's title. Maybe it would be better to award them the title than conclude the season and give them the chance to break a few records.

wouldn't the fairest thing be for all the European leagues to declare this season null n void and start again in the autumn. Than all clubs are starting from the position they were in at the start of this season.

same champion league groups etc etc

My thoughts exactly.

The honourable thing for Liverpool and their fans to do is to accept no title is awarded. So, they won’t do that.

One idea that seems to be gaining traction is that the season is frozen, Liverpool awarded the title, no relegation, Leeds & WBA promoted, 2 up 4 down next season. Would probably have to scrap Carabao cup to make room for extra fixtures

I don't see how that is any fairer on anyone. championship played with 2 teams less? freezing it at any point is an incomplete season. it becomes a luck of timing situation. that can't be fair

I dont, I think the outcome will be taken out of the hands of the ruling bodies when the Government realise they can no longer keep ducking the issues

Reimburse them for what exactly? Sky (as far as I'm aware) are agreeing to postpone or cancel Sky Sports if in contract, no idea what BT are doing.

No decision can be completely fair. Voiding the season means that Leicester are missing on the CL and they might not be able to compete with the big boys soon. What about SU who might need decades before competing for 5th or even 4th again.

Whether Liverpool will be awarded the title will depend entirely on the PL.
