Oh Marvin bless you. That is so naive.There's a lot going on science-wise. Trump would not be shooting his mouth off abiut re-starting by Easter unless his task-force had weapons up their sleeves.
FDA have approved rapid-testing. I want to know about that and the anti-body testing. That could completely change the game and allow advanced countries with political will and organisation to clear clusters and quarantine them. It depends on whether the science works, and we don't know that yet.
Even without mass testing the European infections are peaking in March. I know the tail maybe long, but that's if we carry on as we are. I don't think we will. Look at Germany. There's no way they will stop, they will test the life out of it just as South Korea did. Same virus. Follow their template. It comes to something when a private delivery firm is more advanced than HM Government.
Trump is anti-science, sadly. The world would be better if he wasnt, in fact the world would better without him full stop, but shooting his mouth off is all he is doing. Unfortunately the true scientists have to then step in behind or after or away from him to put the record straight and accurately manage expectations. Donald Trump is a dangerous liar.

Marvin, I’m sure the CMO was talking about an antibody test which was being tested prior to being used? If their plan is to lock the country down indefinitely they are in for a shock.Well perhaps I'm being hopeful but I do think the US state will do whatever it takes (to coin a phrase). UK Gvt chooses to surrender but I don't think other nations will do so.
Do you think that when the curve starts to dip in Italy and Spain that they'll just put their feet up and relax after what they have been through? resources will be freed, and they will suppress this virus out of existence. I don't think we are in for a long war. To be honest I'm desperate not to be. I don't see why we aren't using all the tools we have. The UK Gvt seems to be of the opinion that it's not possible and we are best served by limited objectives. I hope they are wrong.

The thing is he’s calling the police racist they handled the situation very well under difficult circumstances. The only people being aggressive I could see was the person making the video and his accomplices

Racist, it must be difficult for genuine officers who are just doing their job to
deal with certain things without fear of being called racist and being tarnished with that reputation

Just had an email from them saying they cannot verify my identity.
I uploaded a perfect scan of my passport. I am of course on the Electoral Roll. Paying mortgage on house I've lived in for 15 years. I'm on Companies House website as a director. Served 25 years in the Armed Forces.
if they can't verify my identity then there's going to be lots of others they can't too!

Without derailing the thread, at such an awful time, I just want to point out the police operating under the worry they may be labelled as racist caused a disgusting number of innocent young girls to be raped, in north Manchester and South Yorkshire.
I think I speak for everyone when I say the police should enforce the law, without fear of such things.
