Was that really necessary? He's right BTW. We will overtake China today.
Because of course the figures from China are correct. Why do people take such great delight in talking about hundreds of people dying? Why do people think they are all experts on here and know better than everybody who is trying their very best during this period?

(a) Who knows if they are or not. The xenophobes on here have concluded they are not, with zero evidence to support that assertion
(b) they aren't
(c) they don't
(d) not helped when "the experts" have demonstrably fucked various things up, royally.
(e) what are you visiting this thread for? Happy clapping?

Not the biggest news as I think we were aware there was a lag on death times and actual recorded in the numbers but seems to be all over the job.

https://www.england.nhs.uk/2020/04/total-number-of-covid-19-deaths-in-england-by-date-of-death/

March 31st showing actual 96 deaths on the day in England here whereas the official release had it at over 500. The majority of the numbers must be coming from previous days.

I don’t suppose if ultimately matters but probably worth noting the deaths aren’t actually occurring over every 24hr period they give us.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...-hold-in-uk-earlier-than-thought-data-reveals

Also saying first death occurred a week earlier than reported which is probably bigger news.
Also saying that 561 people didn’t die on 1st April, in fact, just 84 did;
“On Thursday, 561 deaths were reported, but only 84 took place in the 24 hours to 5pm on 1 April.”

The rest were numbers accumulated from previous days that hadn’t been accounted for.

So far our day-to-day data is useless. Any day-to-day graph we look at is null and void.

And because we also aren’t testing enough people and also aren’t marking recoveries we can therefore only go off the accumulation of all deaths.

2,921 have died. That’s all we can analyse because of the way every single other stat is taken (or not taken or unreliably taken or reported).

The spike was due to the number of tests it didn't represent a sudden increase in cases.
The figures I looked at was the no of new Covid-19 cases confirmed. 7 days ago there was a spike of about 30% from the previous day. There may well have been more testing done on that day, but it is true to say there was a spike in no of cases.

The pathway of the disease elsewhere, its contagion and mortality rate, the population density of China within urban areas and the Chinese government’s inveterate propensity for dissembling are all cogent elements of evidence to support that assertion.

There is nothing xenophobic about concluding that based on the foregoing, the Chinese figures are manifestly wrong.

Spot on!

Whilst I have doubts about the Chinese figures, we should remember the Chinese are very obedient and stay in when told(not including the Hong Kong district for obvious reasons) they nod rather than shake hands making contact less likely than in our society.

However, they also spit as part of their culture. They think of it as cleansing the body of germs.

Here our teenagers spit because they think it makes them look cool. We call them dirty fucking cunts for doing so and usually people grow out of it when they realise how filthy it is.

I never realised Carragher had Chinese genes

Well today was a bit of a shock for our part of Spain. Our local hospital had just 4 cases none of which were local.

A few days ago test equipment arrived distributed by the Army and today it is reported our hospital has 11 hospital professionals confirmed with CV.
Luckily no local cases yet mainly because of isolation compliance but who knows without us all being tested?
