Do you have an infection rate in mind,a number that would trigger relaxing of lockdown?

No exact number,we are constantly learning, key to find the number of people positive but not having symptoms, every country needs that number

Higher rate in different area of the country?

Not unusual pattern for spread of viruses but cant be exact

Self employed?

Self employed measures under constant monitoring

Demographic on compliance? Ventilator question?

Compliance does vary, youngest lower level of compliance, need to get the message through more

Longer people comply the more ventilators we will have time to get, constantly looking for both types of ventilators,we have kept ahead of demand as of now, same with bed capacity

The rest of the nhs is continuing as normal

Absolute vermin - the Govt should confiscate the equipment that is on site and requisition it for continued patient use and kick these fucking leeches out of the NHS and never let them return

Just had a text from Tesco mobile to say calls between 20.00-08.00 won't effect any contracts, won't matter to me as I use WhatsApp mainly but well done Tesco.

Doctor

Public moving around figures show people are sticking to the rule

Re inforced messages on staying in,repeated a lot

Cases up but more stable

Hosp admission rates for covid in london stable,up in other places though

Deaths continue to be high, likely stay going up for a week or two more

Questions

What will the gov do to make sure people stay at home?

By consent ,are other measures, police powers etc,beg people to observe the rules,it will work,we can save each others lives

Indications today people are staying in

By the end of may a losening of lockdown?

We are still learning ,this is a new virus, things will become clearer as we go along, trying first to get on top of the spread, that is critical, then we can talj about next steps

Any heart from flattening of hosp admissions?

Over days and weeks, reduction in infection, hosp admissions and deaths ,we are not at max effect from the lockdown yet, some hope but must carry on the same

Care home in glascow ? Not tested, their deaths will not be counted, how much higher is the death toll that we dont know abot?

We record deaths in hospitals and are starting to report about community, the death toll is higher

(Dodged the question a bit i feel)

Claiming universal credit?

Welfare system under review, people not able to look for work but many are volunteering

Is the money enough?

Constantly under review ,

How and when lockdown will end,how will it be done? Herd immunity? Antibody transfusions?

Depends on compliance, the more people observe it,no fixed date or firm plan, this is a new situation and fluid, much more how we manage the infections long term

Immunity one part of it,vaccines, existing drugs all important tools, need to learn about immunity as we go along

Are most people expected to get it?

See above answer,it is too early into a new virus to say

People going to testing sites, lots of red tape stopping people getting tested, what can you do about it?

It is for only nhs workers, gove will sort it out, thank you for reporting, testing being done at hosps as well

5g masts spreading disease?

Nonsense, rubbish, fake news, our emergenyy services need the masts to respond

We record deaths in hospitals and are starting to report about community, the death toll is higher

(Dodged the question a bit i feel)

Think he doesn't want us to think there killing the oaps off, even if they are..

don’t really see how you can make an analysis of cases ‘cases down’. Barely anyone has been tested.

it was said that confirmed cases should be Ten times higher at minimum.

It’s all relative though isn’t it. There are clearly more people with it or who have had it, probably millions but the numbers not going through the roof based on consistent levels of testing is clearly a good sign. People were quick enough to use it as analysis when the numbers were going up or when coming up with a death rate.

Who’s killing them off , you think it’s somebody's policy ?

Underlying condition could be anything, that’s the worry. People have died with high blood pressure, diabetes and lots with no health problems at all

It’s awful

Fully agree. Any of us could be walking around unknowingly with underlying conditions, and even healthy people have succumbed. Our ignorance of the virus seems only to be matched by our misguided belief in our own indestructibility.

More and more people flouting the rules again this weekend. Started noticing it on my way into work this week and it's getting worse and worse.

Someone on here told me it wasn't the case but it is definitely getting worse. Roads are busy, some parks are busy, some public spaces are busy.

Selfish people who can't stay at home, not even hit the peak yet!

People are allowed outside mate..... I've just done a 20 mile ride around London and was on the lookout for people being dickheads and for the most part people were in maximum pairs of 2, and keeping distance.

Yes it was specific question about a situation of not testing them so not counting them,i think the briefing have been pretty honest so far but not on that question,as i have been saying it a grey area

Well the herd immunity approach we openly started with did hang the old and vulnerable out to dry some what, protecting them came much later on,the facts are they would have done several models with different outcomes and had to choose, hard choices are made every day in the nhs in normal times let alone now

don’t mind the rain at all whilst being stuck in - worrying thing though is the mrs has picked up a shed load of board games from the post office yesterday - please someone find a vaccine quickly.

Got the BBQ done mate now plesently pissed and it's fukin red hot here.
Already board of games she will want to be going to bed early next heven forbid ; )

Well it's been said, that a certain age group won't be treated/ respirator even won't be taken to hospitals
No help for care homes, and they haven't been classing there deaths as there not in hospital,if out off say 700 deaths 500 were oaps every day I would be very concerned worked all there lives and get fked off ,yet some fking slag 6kids to 6 different guys never worked gets looked after.

Cabinet member Michael Gove referred to sharply rising rates occurring in Yorkshire and in the Midlands, with rates falling slightly in London, during the government's daily briefing from Downing Street.

Meanwhile, the number testing positive for COVID-19 in the UK as a whole has risen to 41,903, as of 9am on Saturday, after 183,190 have been tested.

The number of people in Scotland who have died is 218, up 46 from 172 on Friday, the Scottish Government said.

Public Health Wales said 13 further deaths have been reported of people who had tested positive, taking the number of deaths in Wales to 154.

Northern Ireland's Public Health Agency reported another eight deaths, bringing the country's total to 56, with a total of 998 testing positive

On the other end of nature

A couple in India have named their twins born amid the global coronavirus pandemic Corona and Covid.

The siblings - a girl and a boy - were born to Preeti and Vinay Verma in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh on 27 March during the ongoing nationwide lockdown, according to NDTV.

"The delivery happened after facing several difficulties and therefore, my husband and I wanted to make the day memorable," the twins' 27-year-old mother told news agency Press Trust of India.

I wonder what age you can change your name in india !

Can’t speak for care homes anywhere else but the 2 near me went into lockdown about 3 weeks before the rest of them, No visitors deliveries left at the door. Even so the policy may have been wrong but it wasn’t intentionally to kill people. the poster said, they are killing oaps off’ like it was a policy.
