I just got back home from NEC yesterday for work. Fucking hell, when you actually see the scale of the 4000 bed hospital and the hundreds of nurses, ambulance staff, army and contractors, you actually appreciate the scale of this. Its fucking frightening.

One of the most worrying aspects is that Italy who have been in lockdown for about a month still have about 600/700 people dying a day.

The lockdown seems to only slow the inevitable

My father in law lives in France. He said only one person is allowed to leave the house at a time and the only reason they can leave is to go to the supermarket or chemist (can only leave every so many days too). Police in the village checking everyone and handing out big fines apparently. It is far more strict than here. His mrs is a copper and she has been partnered up with someone from the army for weeks now

Reported crime is down and is consistent with incident to crime conversion. Obviously nobody knows what crime is occurring behind closed doors, which may be going unreported. That said, there are far less people about so victim based crime is definitely down.
