The cynic in me tells me that they will play just enough games so that Littlewood$ FC can scrape across the line.

The Premier league is on very thin ice, they are making themselves look complete fools and greedy beyond belief. As much as I agree with you, I dont think the football authorities are that thick. If that was to happen I can see a real shit storm happening. If it restarts it has to finish to save any integrity it has left ! Which wouldnt be much in my eyes
Doesn’t matter if the league fixtures are not completed they will not be crowned champions
You do not need regulations, just good old common sence, like the French and Dutch leagues have taken.Don't think they can. The whole problem is that there are no regulations regarding early closure of the league. That's why they are desperately trying to 'finish' the season.
The UFC just had an event last night/this morning where a fighter and his training staff tested positive. He even attended the weigh in and staredown (although it was at distance and both fighters wearing gloves and masks). The fighter and staff were isolated and the event went ahead. It was on some kind of island apparently and the location was not disclosed to media, where money is involved i think the crux of the matter is - nobody gives a shit. It's even worse with American's, most of them think this is all biollocks anyway and from what i've seen, they mostly want sporting events back and lockdowns lifted. Uncharted territory, i can see shit going south big time. The Premier league is on very thin ice, they are making themselves look complete fools and greedy beyond belief.
The bubble has burst and reality is going to hit it very, very hard.
Exactly, one high profile sportsman get the virus and is seriously ill or dies and the shit will hit the fan.The UFC just had an event last night/this morning where a fighter and his training staff tested positive. you are a very good and interesting poster and I look forward to reading your opinions 99.9% of the time, however in this thread you come across as having zero fucking life, your desperation to watch football that is so watered down that it will not look or feel like the game we know and love is amazing, just to break up the hours, find something to do, in stead of sitting in front of the telly with you KDB underpants on tissue at the ready and fuck the worlds health attitude coz im bored. The domestic season feels like its over but I am keen to see the Champions League. Other sports are returning too. Today the transport secretary was outlining changes to the transport infrastructure to enable a more general return whilst the Stay at Home, Save Lives logo has changed. Football's moves are compatible with what is happening in the rest of society, and whilst this might be a period to endure, and survive, for some it might make life more bearable and give us something to look forward to. I thought City's Champions League hopes had vanished so I am hoping that those games are played. Hopefully by the time they come around, Ciy fans will actually enjoy them.
I know life is grim but we should embrace things that make us feel better and sport has traditionally enabled some to do that.
Ideally I am sure that football clubs would like to say to their players, the game is off whilst we have an infection but football is locked into the capitalist world and has been so for decades. The broadcasting deal is a major part of the UK football's revenue as is match-day income. These revenue streams are under threat. If you want football to surrender its revenues then they will cut expenses and where does that end?The Premier league is on very thin ice, they are making themselves look complete fools and greedy beyond belief.

I wonder how many pl players are currently abroad? With a 14 day quarantine of anyone coming into Britain I can't see the RM players wanting to do that !

The whole world is locked into capitalism, what makes football so special? There are HUGE companies, HUGE banks that will be fucked after this. This is the realisation that every company and industry is having, how do we get through this due to restrictions? However, football is being treated differently by the people controlling the restrictions which is wrong and should be called out as such.Ideally I am sure that football clubs would like to say to their players, the game is off whilst we have an infection but football is locked into the capitalist world and has been so for decades. Football will be watered down but it's either watered down football or no football. It's like when Jimmy McGill was in the desert carrying around his own urine. In the end he was forced to drink it.you are a very good and interesting poster and I look forward to reading your opinions 99.9% of the time, however in this thread you come across as having zero fucking life, your desperation to watch football that is so watered down that it will not look or feel like the game we know and love is amazing, just to break up the hours, find something to do, in stead of sitting in front of the telly with you KDB underpants on tissue at the ready and fuck the worlds health attitude coz im bored.
