whilst no scientist in the world will commit to immunity they would be mad even if they have had it,i am proceeding like I have not had it,i am taking no chances
Very wise. Having said that I would wager a large sum that you are actually immune... for the rest of the year at least anyway. Like you, I would not bet my life on it though.

Just got back from a brief trip to the local co-op. It's like people think this is all over. More people in the shop than previous weeks, very little social distancing, kids in the shop as well and people dawdling on the aisle

I was out earlier and it was the same here. I am not sure if people have misplaced confidence or no longer care, or possibly I didn't get the memo to say that Covid19 has disappeared.

And what do you mean by that Karen? The Roche and Oxford university ones certainly will be used in clinical settings in the UK.
as I have repeated several times, there is not one test or Dr that will tell you you are immune ,they are for collecting data not clinical use

From the Roche link

Through a blood sample, the test, which is based on an in-solution double-antigen sandwich format, can detect antibodies to the new coronavirus causing COVID-19, which could signal whether a person has already been infected and potentially developed immunity to the virus

Potentially is the key word, not will tell you you are immune, antibodies responses vary that is why they can't say you have enough of the right quality to be immune

The WHO said again on Monday that immunity is not proven yet

It’s not. Single use gloves are only any real use if used for a single task I.e taking blood

If you wear gloves all the time this essentially becoming your hands so you pick up the virus and spread it as you would with your hands. You may also pick your nose with gloves on if you’ve had them on for ages due to complacency. Also, taking them off without spreading the virus can be difficult

point 1 - well as long as it's not on your hands it's not much of an issue. Whole point is to protect your hands which you do by having them on.
point 2 - that's the individual's problem.
point 3 - that's true if you have the virus on your gloves from one usage or multi-usage.

So 627 more deaths today and tommorow its, back to work for lots and fun in the parks for the rest.
Were not getting through this anytime soon are we :(
Not as bad as I feared with a 3 day weekend to interupt death recording in English hospitals.

Wow just got back from work. Is the lockdown over ?.
Roads packed and driving back to its selfish best. Loads of people out and about. Had two members of the public come up to me to enquire how to get food from the foodbanks when unloading, had to tell them to get 2 meters away from me. They looked like I was mad asking them to stand back. Not sure how much longer wearing a mask is going to work

I’ve been perplexed at what we’ve done throughout all of this.

I still can’t believe we didn’t properly lockdown hard in April, only being allowed out for food and medicine. When I said it at the time people were telling me it would be too hard for people, but it would have been a distant memory by now.

And I can’t believe we’re having the relaxing of restrictions at this stage. Far too many people are still contracting and dying from this, and it’s barely going to take much to nudge the R above 1.0 again.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps tells MPs that 42 Transport for London workers have now died with COVID-19, with 10 fatalities among Network Rail staff.

I don’t want to start a row here but I think gloves are pretty pointless as the virus does not spread through the hands so protecting ones hands is a waste of time. As long as your hands(gloved or otherwise) don’t go near your face then you will be ok

All Wuhan residents will be tested for COVID-19 after a new outbreak occurred in the city where the pandemic started, local authorities said. There were six new coronavirus cases over the weekend in the central Chinese city - the first in the whole of Hubei province for 35 days.

Wuhan, with a population of 11 million, was placed on a strict lockdown on 23 January but it was lifted on 8 April and, until the weekend, there had been no new cases since

None came in from abroad,we need to keep an eye on other lifted lockdowns, especially america
