We've been out this afternoon to have a walk somewhere else. There's a newish shared path/cycle track been built between our town and another, it also connects to a NT manor house. It was relatively busy, with people and families out running, walking, and cycling, and 'cyclists', we must have passed 150 people in a couple of hours, and without doubt there are some selfish twats who ride bikes. The family types were fine, all behaving well, and keeping the 2m apart as best they can, but some of the cyclists were a disgrace, riding this shared space like its the tour de france, and not caring one jot about young kids or older folk, speeding past with inches of them, one woman on foot was nearly knocked into the ditch at the side by an idiot rising at about 30 mph from behind her, no warning given, why are they not on the road ? There weren't many, maybe 10, but most were complete bellends.
Saw one last week , nearly ran me over , thought he was in the Tour de France, new bike , lights on the pedals , full illuminated Lycra pants & top, helmet , camera on top bigger than itv use, fancy gloves , the works .....what he didn’t have was a FUCKING BELL ! As I politely told him

I'm out most days on the Bristol-Bath cycle path, either for a walk or bike ride. The tour de france mob in all the gear fuck me right off ignorant twats speeding past, spesh when there is little kids and families about.Seen so many arguements against these wankers.

The twats at Warmley cut straight across the road by the level crossing. I've been tempted several times not to stop when they pull out

This is like a fucking heaven for the cyclist.

Empty roads. They think they rule the roost under normal circumstances, but this is something else.

Even on off road trails, they are a disrespectful fucking bunch of twats.

He was the bell.

As a wet led business that will be difficult for me to apply.

It’s a very rural, gastro type pub.

I still trade very, very locally and my main cash flow are people who just want a pint. I trade really old school, Monday to Friday between 4 and 7 and then all day at the weekends. Not many pubs do that these days.

I can control my flow of food trade through bookings, but my wet trade. No chance.

A sunny day and all hell will break loose.
The missus runs the social club and pitch side burger bar at a local Northern Prem league club luckily not carrying too much stock could have been much worse going to be difficult to social distance to be honest.

Why do humans think they are so important that they can infect and abuse animals in the name of science?

It made my heart sink when I read about it a few weeks ago. Is there an alternative though?

Would you sacrifice 20 monkeys if it meant possibly saving 100K humans?

The ethics of it are extremely difficult.

Whilst bearing in mind we're in lockdown and only a tiny percentage of kids are out and about in such social situations. Do those very small numbers become much bigger numbers when schools and nurseries get busier? I know nothing can be made 100% safe and you can't wrap them up in cotton wool forever but a bit more information and research into this is surely required first?
The Children with this Kawasaki disease are not testing positive for Covid-19 as such it would appear the virus is a trigger to an immense imune system reaction which sweeps the virus away whilst also causing illness in the children's bodies.
It is probably not too far away from the Cytokine surge that triggers inflammation and blood clots in the old.
Will it trigger more illness in children when schools are open. I would say it is unlikely - unless there is a surge of Covid-19 infection once schools are open. I'm sure monitoring will take place to make sure it will be picked up.

There are some testing positive or who have had the antibody test,it also seems to be happening a few weeks after illness,we have about hundred in this country already,it is very interesting and still rare so dont worry parents

Michael Levin, professor of paediatrics and international child health at Imperial, explained that most of the children tested negative for coronavirus, but tested positive for detection of antibodies

There have been similar cases in the US, Spain, Italy, France and the Netherlands.
At least 15 US states are looking into the rare condition, according to New York governor Andrew Cuomo, out of 82 diagnosed cases of the inflammatory syndrome in New York, 53 children tested positive or had antibodies for Covid-19.

So what's the alternative from there are they suggesting anything? How do we get back to some sort of feeling of normal without a vaccine, I assume it relies on a mix of development on treatments/herd immunity?
We stop people arriving/leaving the country who are not tested on a 2d/3d cycle and track test and trace the virus into oblivian. We have 5 months. With app and track and trace in place it should be possible.
South Korea has done it in 2 months from our current case volumes and they were not in lock down.
