I have got to admit to being gutted at this final nail in the coffin, he was a special talent and to see those pictures of him in training he has finally bulked up just enough to remain fast and silky but with a bit of strength behind it.

He is only going to keep on improving, I won't say anything bad about him as he hasn't done anything that other players haven't done, it isn't illegal, a tad annoying but that is the life of modern-day contracts.

I, however, will despise Bayern Munich for the rest of my days, a fucking disgusting team that has the temerity to judge other clubs actions, when they are the biggest tap up merchants in German football if not the world.

Utter ****s.

Massive brain fart by City letting him slip away to another club. The only shining light in this is he is going abroad. And I don't think he will instantly turn Bayern into world beaters. Him and Sterling really clicked together when they played and hopefully we can find someone else with more hunger and desire to fill his boots.

?

What do you propose City could have done differently?

They offered a contract three times and he said no, there is absolutely nothing you can do as a club in that situation.

The thing is we need to tie down Sterling to a longer contract now or look to be selling him on with 2 years left on his deal, I still suspect he fancies a move to Real Madrid before he is too old to perform.

Players come and go. I remember being close to tears when Dennis Tueart left!
Leroy was at times a joy to watch at other times frustrating, we used to call them typical wingers when I were a lad. Good luck Leroy, though not against City if our paths ever cross again, the goal against the dipper vermin will live on forever.
Pep will have a replacement lined up I am sure.

Personally I think a move for Jordan Ibe could be a good shout, because, the bestest, most knowledgeable, most passionate fans ever, anywhere in the known universe and some other places not yet found say he’s better than anyone.

What could we have done differently? Why do people automatically blame the club when players want to leave?
There’s a reason he wasn’t a definite starter week in week out and it wasn’t because the club were having a brain fart.

You can bang that drum as often as you want but Raheem has achieved far more in the blue shirt than Sané has so it’s a moot point.

How far ? If I'm not wrong, Sterling has won an extra League cup than Sane, while having played 2 more seasons than Sane.

Let's not slag off the kid,we achieved a lot and he was a big part of it

He has chance to be a big name in his own county

Also don't underestimate the pressure he is getting from Lowe to get into the team for the euro's

Biggest mistake we have made in years losing him

Genuine question Karen, what mistake have the club made here?

Playing him in the CS?

Personally I'm not going to knock the guy, wants to work somewhere else anyone that's worked anywhere for any length of time has been there. However, the bottom-line is no one is bigger than the club and he will be replaced, I would be shocked if City haven't had a plan in place for the best part of 12+ months the only thing that sucks is how much we have lost on a fee because of a pre-season injury last summer!

Bayern planned this from the start by getting him snubbed from the national team in the world cup. Their influence is reminiscent of United's and Liverpool’s on the England NT. They set it up years ago by telling him the only way he plays for them is if he becomes their player. Form nosedived for some time and his agent started all the necessary rumours. Bayern also managed (along with Sane) to force us into a compromised trading position. Fuck Bayern!

Think most will agree that Bayern are the genuine cnuts in this saga , with their tapping up tactics .

Total arrogance runs through the fucking club .

This news is hardly a surprise, presumably the club have prepared and made plans accordingly. An exciting young player and I'll be sorry to see him go, especially if he gets back to his best.

He’s been an ever present in our most successful era, playing a major part in our success.
It’s not even an argument for fucks sake, anybody claiming different are off their heads.

Not contesting about the contributions of Sterling. But winning 1 League Cup more than Sane in 2 extra seasons isn't achieving "far more", atleast trophy wise. Sorry for arguing semantics here.

The trophy count isn’t really the point but I understand where you’re coming from. I should maybe have said contribution instead of achievement.

Agreed, although it wouldn’t surprise me if Sane didn’t play another game between now and the Euros, signed a pre-contract with Bayern and still made the squad. The bias between FAs and the ‘Bayern’s and United’s’ of this world is clear to see.

Considering they were willing to pay around £80 million last summer and now won’t pay £50 million, it doesn’t really send the right message to the lad.

The moment Sane signs a long-term deal he instantly becomes a £100+ million player, so Bayern scrimping and saving on this deal doesn’t make sense.

City have firmly shoved the ball in Bayern’s court.

They will haggle to within an inch of their life as they want him for the long term, they won’t get that top dollar re-sale value.

These ****s wouldn’t know a fair price if it came up and bit them in the arsch...

Exactly!

The club have offered him multiple contract extensions, they want him to stay.

We haven’t done anything wrong. The kid is German and the biggest club in Germany want him to be their poster boy. He’s not exactly leaving for Salford City is he?

To blame the club, who haven’t lost a single player they didn’t want to since the takeover, is a joke IMO.

Great player no doubt about it but anyone and that means anyone who doesn't want to be here get rid asap. It's not like the old days pampering to players trying to get them to stay.
