I was thinking about this, the G14 will be the death of UEFA. They should be begging to work with us to bail them out.
Instead they cower and bend over backwards to pacify the parasites.

I can't see what grounds they would have to appeal. No idea how the Swiss courts work, but presumably they'd need leave to appeal; I don't see them having any meaningful grounds to. It would be totally without merit based on the two stated grounds for City's appeal being allowed (limitation period and absence of evidence) especially as it wouldn't be a hearing de novo, I expect.

There is no possible legal basis..UEFA is a busted flush, but it’s entirely their own fault

That's the thing, the cartel don't have to win in court. They are already winning the media war and winning it quite convincingly. We won at CAS but you wouldn't think so, the way it has been portrayed in the media. Clubs will quite happily put pressure on UEFA to take this further, because even if they know they are unlikely to win the appeal, it drags this whole thing out for another year or two, basically leaving the club under the same dark cloud we have been under for the past two seasons. They are portrayed as the good guys, City the baddies/cheats. They win, even when they lose and unfortunately, it looks like we lose, even when we win.

Yeah. I know the the big clubs aren't happy with it. Purely for their self interest. But i just don't think it is in UEFA's interest to have us out of the competition. Maybe a few years ago. But not anymore. We are a big draw now. It's in their interest to have the likes of Guardiola, KDB, Sterling etc....in their competition.
 
Can’t forget that Pep kept referring to reputational damages yesterday. Might be nothing might be a warning might be the start of something interesting?

Apart from he makes it sound like rules are handed down by a higher authority (an impartial governing body) whereas in reality FFP for UEFA and the PL were mastermind in the OT Boardroom.

At this moment I am glad that we were forced to go to CAS because an independent body reviewed the case and found in our favour which damages the case against Manchester City and it doesn't matter how much fog the media puts up the enemy battle-group is burning.
 
I see that Roan and Stone of the BBC essentially ignored Pep's comments. The only line they used from him was his demand for an apology. Stone has been tweeting about Marcus Rasford's degree and Roan seems to have spent the last 24 hours re-tweeting a series of highly politicised comments from other people attacking Qatar (migrant workers' abuse) and Saudi Arabi (ruining TV football by axing Bein Sports) There seems to be a clear pattern with Roan's coverage but it has nothing to do with his alleged role as BBC Sports Editor. Why do so many BBC journalists think it is ok to carry out their own personal polical crusades when they are supposed to be impartial?

Ceferin and his supporters don’t need any additional action — if they can’t muster the support to implement the supposed sweeping reforms they want off the back of this decision, then another failed (and financially/politically costly) appeal to Swiss courts is not going to get them there, either. If anything, taking it further could close the road to those reforms.

If UEFA do take it to the Swiss courts, I am fairly sure it will be after Ceferin has been ousted, at which point all bets are off, anyway.

And definitely do not tell Liverpool police in advance that you are visiting the city. Really, just never go to Liverpool and you’ll be safe.

Tolmie mentioned that he's the head of legal affairs at UEFA (or General Counsel/Director of Legal & Business Affairs as his page states) and that he used to work at United. Although looking at his Linkedin (if it's real) he was only ever a ITV board rep for United but was director for Arsenal Broadband Limited & Liverpool FC TV limited between 2001-2006.

Now I'm not sure how far his ties run with those clubs now but it's slightly concerning given the position he holds now.

This is a good summery of where we are.

No doubt our management are well versed in crisis management and damage limitation, because that's where we are right now.

Tempting as it is to come out all guns blazing, with legal letters flying to every fucker who even thinks about passing wind in our direction, it will not work. SKY seem to have changed their tack a bit, but for the most part Monday's decision has now been interpreted as we're guilty and we got away with it.

We simply have no handle on the narrative.

I have no clue as to what we are going to do next.
