Yeah I think that was part of the Oxford one. the monkeys caught it but no matter how large the does they never hit that killer pnumonia levels

Ah ok. Just saw a post somewhere with the link to the Mail (I know) article about this (they aren't keen on the idea of vaccines...).
So essentially they were full of CV19 but not ill enough to be a serious issue for them. Thanks.

If you create a nm sized pore in a synthetic material like graphene and then put a voltage across it in an electrolyte solution ions will flow unimpeded through the pore to create a current but if at the same time you put through a viral RNA molecule such as Sars-cov-2 then each base interferes with the current in a known manner and you can sequence the bases. This is the technology behind some rapid testing technology.

Tried accessing via a different browser. So far so good. I did a virus scan and it seems to have worked on most sites but they kept appearing here blocking access. Its obviously linked via the adverts.

"The percentage of people in Scotland who have been exposed to coronavirus is likely to be less than 5%.

Based on random testing of blood samples between the end of April and the end of June this year it was revealed that 4.3% had antibodies."

Reported at today's Scottish Government briefing on Covid.

As a simple microscopist it puzzles me that the incidence is so low, even accounting for lockdown measures.

We know now that that is likely not a full picture though. Been widely reported that most are beating this without producing antibodies. T-cells etc. I'd expect that to be at least 3 times higher.

English hospital deaths 19 , 3 from yesterday and 5 from the NW.

Other add ons low too 14 July - was 0 yesterday = now 5 after 2 days.

13 July added 6 and is now at 20 after 3 days.

12 July added just 1 and is at only 12 after 4 days.

And 11 July added just 1 and has the 5 day total of just 7. The first 5 day single figure since mid March.

Got a new virus detector and it keeps kicking me off here before I can post saying site deemed unsafe. So if you don't hear from that will be why.

But I will keep trying. Seems to work if I keep a message box running as that might disable the ads from changing. Which appears the problem.

@grunge

This is in the Mail today (yeah I know it’s the Mail but the sources are at least respectable)

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....ll-INFLATED-fewer-40-people-dying-day-UK.html

This one has been known for ages though. they have been adding adding back dated deaths since this started due to delayed reporting / weekends etc.

daily updates with the info here. tells you where the dates were from etc.

the problem is the likes of the Mail are too lazy to report it properly and just do todays figure - yesterdays figure.

luckily my wife, the best person in my life, decided to have chemotherapy as part of her treatment a few years back. She is now rid of Cancer and we are both so grateful for the treatment she had. I have no idea why anyone would want to criticise chemotherapy or those that have it? Seems very odd?
It is twatty is what it is,he has jumped the shark for me

Death rates in ICU patients fell from 60% at the end of March to 42% at the end of May. The pattern occurred in several countries.

Did it to me on Edge so I switched to Chrome which has sorted it.

That sounds fascinating (and means Manchester has some claim to helping the fight against viruses). I'll have a proper look later.
