Yeah the cancelo signing, both the cost of it and the practical implications of it is one of the worst for me. Pep seems to not fully trust walker and yet he trusts everyone else he signs in that position even less and so we've spent 85 million on other RB's who just end up as cover for walker. Nauseating when we've been playing an attacking mid at LB for 2 years.

yeah the last two summers seems poor in hindsight. There's been a lot of missing out on top targets and then refusing to consider 2nd or 3rd choice options. Not really worked out.

Hopefully our board knows that Alaba doesnt fancy it, because they seem to be chasing him.. constant links lately.

does GJ socre the goals that Aubamayang scored today? - I dont think he does

the first one he would have tried to cut back

the second he would have bottled it as one vs one he aint great
 
Sounds a bit daft when we have scored 100+ goals once again but I really feel we need to add a couple of players who have a different attacking dimension. Torres and Havertz would make a statement to our attack and I would 100% sacrifice Mahrez to get them. Plain as day we need Koulibaly to give us presence at the back. Now we have dealt with the ban we need to make a statement signing to re-energise the team. I'm seeing signs that we look jaded, players like fans need to see a wow signing once in a while.

Ederson - Walker, Koulibaly, Laporte, Mendy (or new LB) - Kev, Rodri, Torres, Harvertz - Sergio, Sterling. Bench to include Foden, Jesus, Silva, Gundogan, Garcia, Braaf, Zinchenko. I think that's a pretty balanced squad. Then next summer total budget on a striker to replace Kun.

One loss and people are having a meltdown gone from wanting 2 CBs Sane replacement and perhaps a left back to adding a striker midfielder and also wanting rid of extra players like Mahrez, Gundogen, Rodri, Cancelo can we all just calm down

I would also listen to any offers for Otters, Gundogan Fernandinho ( I know but his legs look gone to me) Zinchenko Mendy Mahrez and even Aguero ( I know ....but just have a feeling this current injury is one too far) I know some of this is difficult. Re home grown players I would add stones if we can balance the HG quota without him.

We need a finisher don’t care if it’s a Kun clone or diff style but some one who will bust his bollocks to get the numbers.... now not a prospect for a few years time. We were at our flowing beat when our tempo was higher we are too slow now. Younger hungry chops needed. Sorry I am a bit pissed.. hope we get it together for a tilt at CL but fear we are fucked for this season ( if we aren’t I am sure UEFA will fuck it for us)
 
We had a lot of signings that changed this club, which made us one of the best teams in the world - Aguero, David Silva, Yaya, Kompany, KDB, Sterling (?), Tevez, Dzeko. On the other hand we have failed so many times with new players, I do not even bother to mention them because there are so many. This summer there is no room for mistakes, we need a replacement for Kompany, a replacement for Sane, a replacement maybe for the one and only Aguero. We have not had a Decent left back for years. We need signings that will change this club again, players like Havertz, Koulibaly, Alaba, Haaland (next summer), Camavinga, Sancho .
Time to rebuild, we have at least 6 players on the squad who are not even close to be good enough.
 
If I could pick three players in the world, I'd go Digne - Koulibaly - Haaland. How much would those three cost? How much would we make by selling Otamendi, Zinchenko, Stones, and Sane?
 
In: Koulibaly, Torres, Digne, Aouar, Ake, Steffen.
Out: Otamendi, Sane, Zinch, Dave, Stones, Bravo.

Listen to offers for: Gundo, Mendy, Cancelo.
(in that order, replace as appropriate)

am guessing Koulibaly 65 mill, Digne 40 mill Haaland 60-70 mill??
I wonder if Everton would do a deal for Stones 30-35if slab head was 60 ish? . Sane we got 35-45 mill didn’t we? ( fucking laughable) Otters I guess 15-20 , zinchenko about same
So that would mean a spend of say £175 mill minus £90 .. net spend = £85 M which would be great business. ( I have probably got it all wrong).

Fully agree, we’ve been way too complacent the last two windows. Why, for example have we only had one left back in the squad for the last three years? Or did we leave ourselves exposed the year Fernandinho was our only defensive mid? Or not bother buying a centerback to replace Kompany? Where’s the forward planning?
