CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

Conn's stuff is very poor. It's not outright lies; he's a lawyer so too clever for that but it's as twisted as the der Spiegel emails.

He claims that the Etisalat contract wasn't signed until 2015 and was backdated but paragraph 11 in the CAS judgement states quite clearly that the first sponsorship agreement with Etisalat was signed by City on 24 Feb 2010 and became effective on that date. That was a Heads of Agreement that was deemed to be legally binding until the long form agreement was signed. So his assertion is grossly misleading if not downright false.

Thanks for that. Last sentence seems to sum him and his reporting up succinctly.

There is a special place in hell for this Uncle Tom.
The Guardian went all-in with their partners, the Bayern mouthpiece Der Spiegel. Their coverage from day one has been shameful and a disgrace to the Reithian principles of fair, accurate, balanced and unbiased reporting.
One of the hardest things in life is to accept you have been conned (coincidence that word eh), that you have been taken as a gullible rube. The fact that 6 of 5.5million emails hacked by a criminal extortionist were doctored and/or deliberately taken out of context is not mentioned anywhere.
I can’t recall Conn going into a forensic analysis of the finances at FC Tribute Act when his new best mate Walsh and acolytes were exposed as being up to all sorts. Bags of cash under the bed etc. In fact this hypocritical shithouse Conn went AWOL and never write a word about them again.
The flailing tonight from the usual suspects to find any possible negative crumbs in a 93-page judgement which proved the UEFA process was unjustified from the outset is as depressing as it is predictable.
They are like bar stool bullies demanding the police turn up to arrest the quiet bloke sat minding his own business in the corner who put them on their arse and broke their nose when they made the mistake of starting on him.
Which is why I can't see City wasting time and effort on these so called "journalists". Going after them would be counter productive and give them the opportunity to play the down trodden victim. Besides, they would still write their filth even if they were banned. From City's perspective, the game plan continues; we can still attract the top talent, attract the best sponsors/investors and play the best football. And nothing that Harris, Conn et al can write or tweet can change that now.

This has probably been covered on here, but after Roan changed his stance slightly, daily mail have also changed theirs to 'overwhelmingly exonerated '. Club are clearly fighting back, just wish they'd go after the likes of the WhatsApp group and others.

The honour and integrity of people with a high, global public profile, such as Sheikh Mansour, Khaldoon al Mubarak and others has been dragged through the mud for years over this. Theirs is a culture where that is the ultimate insult. It will not go unpunished.
They have no idea with whom they are messing. When Karma arrives expect blood on the carpet.
