Not looking good for Gundogan or Rodri then.
:-)
In fairness, I’ve championed bringing Luiz back from the Villa to address that issue.

Chelsea conceded similar numbers to Brighton and Palace last year, If I was them I’d stick to Werner, a good signing, and use the Havertz money elsewhere.I should add Chelsea if they complete the signing of Havertz.
I think that Garcia should look at Brahim Diaz's experience at Madrid.
They courted him relentlessly, gave him a long contract but he has barely played this season (he has had a few injuries to be fair). It is unlikely that he will progress without going out on loan to another club. Garcia may have a similar experience at Barcelona if he moved there whereas, at City, he is getting first team starts over very experienced defenders.
It is interesting that his agent is Carlos Puyol. That should be great for getting advice on how to maximise his potential, play as a "small" defender and develop leadership skills. The downside for us is that Puyol is a Barcelona guy and would probably encourage Eric to move there.
It isn’t though the years Pep teams have won stuff his team have conceded the least. Its just his teams defend by possesion rather than traditional defending. He understands not concedeing is important though he isn’t Keegan like score more than them tactics. But Lampard has a similar outlook to Pep, outscore the opposition. Great for football unlike Jose
He wouldn’t, he’d be second choice right centre back, for a 19 year old to be doing that at a side challenging for premier and champions leagues thats good going. If he wants to go home to Barcelona fair enough but he ain’t going there to be fist choice with them either.
So he’d maybe start in cup games and the occasional prem game. Laporte in the other side starts pretty much every premier league game and champions league game, so if we buy someone just as good the same would apply in Garcia’s position
challenging for the premier league is great, but if you aren’t starting regular you would leave. Just like Sancho did. Game time is more important for Garcia right now
Doing what’s best for the team - he’s seemingly lost all faith in Stones & OtamendiI don't understand why Pep would be playing Garcia regular if he was leaving
If it is, he sure as hell ain't getting it at Barca.
I get the feeling it was part of a plan to convince him to stay and extend his contract. Maybe it didn’t work.I don't understand why Pep would be playing Garcia regular if he was leaving
