State police need to take back control of their cities by effectively stepping in and challenging these unidentified Federal law enforcement officers. They should do it in a show of force, and they should display their names and and identifying badges prominently in their uniforms. They should also overtly film proceedings in order to preserve evidence of criminality by Federal officers.

This would go a long way to restoring some level of trust at a local policing level.

That would be worth watching

Yeah except for the millions and millions of Americans who are suddenly greatly attuned to the problems associated with racism since George Floyd and are now working within their connected communities and organizations to ensure relative equal treatment for all when it was merely assumed before. So saying the only thing the televised murder we witnessed has done is create more crime ignores the positive impact the attention BLM has drawn to racism/inequality. This is absolutely not to condone nor agree with the more radical aspects of the organizational message, which appears to be a new-found windmill to tilt at for some.
Any fucking 'windmill' will do for some on here.

Not wearing a shirt if you are black now is suspicious and will get you detained ffs

This is a ridiculous conclusion to reach.
More likely than not the guy thought he was someone else. Seperated him from his crew to reduce friction. Checked and figured out he wasn't the person. Realized he had made a bubu by detaining the wrong kid, so made up a fake "You got no shirt and pants on" excuse.

Btw the kid was fantastic. Responded perfectly. Did not argue with the cop. Followed instructions and allowed detainment without making a fuss.

The only wrong thing the cop did was make up a fake excuse. Outside of that he was fine. Cops are allowed to stop you and ask for basic information about you. Especially if they think you look like someone they are interested in.

However, the cop missed an opportunity there. He should have apologized for detaining him, thanked him for being co-operative and hand him his personal card and told him if anyone ever messed with him, I'm a direct call away.

But funny enough, I won't be surprised if he did that while the door was locked. Coz sadly, being buddy buddy with the police can be a detriment to you in many a minority neighborhoods. So more likely than not, if the cop were to do everything I suggested, he'd most likely have done it behind closed doors and away from the kid's friends.

Even the way he said "make sure you tell them why I detained you" sounded suspicious. Almost as if he planned it with the kid so his friends don't start seeing him as someone friendly with cops. But that's just guessing on my part.

In all. Fair stop good interractions. And good end. No need to make a meal of it.

Interesting vid on Breonna Taylor by Vice News...

This is why the trust in police is at an all time low. These kinds of officers and heirarchy need investigated and prosecuted if wrong doing is found. Frankly, body cams should be mandatory. And it should be a crime to not have them on.

@Dax777

I seem to remember you chuntering on about being courteous and not giving the police anything to have reason to arrest you, so I posted this earlier.

What do you think of this situation...?

Yeah, be a good little boy or girl after we've pulled you over for nothing and we might let you off, after we've tied you up at gunpoint and looked for anything at all to arrest you.

Yes! Be a good boy and live. If they mistreat you. You can sue the fuck out of them and make easy money. There are lawyers who specialize in suing the NYPD. Feel free to hit me up and I can send you a few good ones of you ever know anyone who needs one.

For the life of me I don't understand those of you who don't understand the heirarchy of decision making when it comes to the cops. Be a realist. Survive your mistreatment then sue.

I've seen this video about 20 times now.

1. The cop was acting suspicious. If we are to believe the narrators story.
2. Yes, a cop knowing the person he just stopped is armed will put any cop on the edge.

The guy that was pulled over acted appropriately. Like I've detailed in past posts about solutions as opposed to complaining: Mandatory Bodycam turned on for officers when they interact with the public is A MUST!

And a lot of City's are beginning to implement this. It's simple. If your bodycam is off, the burden of proof falls on you. Dimples!

I've been preaching that from.the start. By the way, there was bodycam footage on the George Floyd killing. That has now been released. This is how accountability should work.

You know that the cop that was pulled over was a cop as well, right? So, which one was "acting suspicious" since you seem to question the narrator's story...?

Therefore your answer as "2" is all the more confusing!

If the Black cop is complying and feeling threatened at the same time, whilst having the knowledge of previous interactions of other (Black) deceased citizens with the (White) police, how the fuck is an ordinary (Black) citizen supposed to know how to comply, especially in an area where Black life is ended by police at a high rate...??

How do you square this?

I cite Philando Castille as a good example of being compliant, like the Black cop, except one lived and one died. In the case of the Black cop, that was a good night for him cos things could have gone sideways for not following 'orders'.

As for the Body Cam thing, over 20 officers were on the site of Breonna Taylor's murder and only 3 have been picked up. How many body cams were on and why hasn't this been looked at in more detail?

It's very hard to sue if you've been killed.
