He does know he's coming to City, doesn't he?
Your ballon d'Or days are over Lionel.
His true ambition is to get in Garth Crooks' Team of the Week, so he should achieve that eventuallly, if Rashford gets injured.

Good pointI'm beginning to see it as you do.
If Messi is talking about Barca's moral duty to let him go on a free, that tells me his legal case is thin.
‘We’ lmao what a dickWow, I'm not sure we should go after Messi. To get rid of Jesus and Bernardo for a finished Messi is a big mistake. This guy is physically and psychologically ruined.
He's no Harry McGuire, that's for sure.Wow, I'm not sure we should go after Messi. To get rid of Jesus and Bernardo for a finished Messi is a big mistake. This guy is physically and psychologically ruined.

First sentence is wrong, second sentence isnt happening and third sentence is you basically holding up a big neon sign saying "Look at me, I'm an opposition fan wumming on a football forum, which makes me a bit sad and lonely"Wow, I'm not sure we should go after Messi. Usually i dont like a player being more powerful than his club. But this time since being a buying club i hope it does happen.Hi everyone and sorry for my terrible english.
I´m a Barça fan and a reader of this forum, because i like your club since the signing of Silva (and now i like it much more because Pep).
This is my opinion: you are going to sign Messi 100%. Because Messi wants to live the club, he´s decision is firm, he needs a new challenge, he knows the talent of Pep and is a Kun Aguero´s close friend. And the most important thing, you are the only club wich meets to fundamental conditions: have the chance to win important trophies and have the money to pay him.
My opinion, too: he´s not going to leave for free, he´s not right about his contract issue. And nobody is going to sing him in this conditions and risk for a vey expensive penalty. And there is another issue: the FFP. You have to lose some salaries to can afford his signing.
So, the only way is an offer with cash and players. Minimum two players and maximum 3. What players are interesting for FC Barcelona and no crucial for you? García, Gabriel Jesús and Bernardo. May be Cancelo, but probably not.
Probably, you may think you have much more power in the negotiation. And is 80% true. But this is not a normal transfer. Messi is the biggest legend in the history of the club and the person who sells him will be a real villain for all his live. So is gonna be a tought negotiation, and if Man City doesn´t do the correct offer, Bartomeu will be happy to reject it. And Messi can stay and change his mind because in march we will have elections and a new board.
And what is a proper offer to me? García, Bernardo and Gabriel and a small amount of money (20m?) or García and Gabriel and more money (80-100?). You can think is too much because he´s age and the difficult situation for our board. But remember that it´s not a normal player, he´s the symbol of the club, of the city and our hero. For less than that the fans will burn the Camp Nou and they probably will in any case. So i think you will sign him but it won´t be easy.
And my third opinion: a transfer to City is the best for all, Barça, City and Messi.
Post data: the song has to be "you´re my wonder Goat".

Nothing contentious at all. The fact he could leave at the end of previous seasons was a gesture that being our greatest ever player we will let you go for nothing when you choose.Don't fall for the media narrative being pushed out of Spain, remember there are billions riding on these issues
I am not a legal expert and even then it's also quite clear that the law is interpreted differently depending on country/court and agenda - because there is absolutely an agenda at work here and considering how much money is at stake, agendas will be played out by any means necessary to influence the legal interpretations
It is known he has a contract that allows him to walk for free at the end of each season now - only question is whether the extenuating circumstances of COVID that has already impacted countless things (Including extension of seasons & contract windows) will be adjudged to be applicable. Thin, I do not believe so - contentious, absolutely
Oh do fuck off with your 38 posts in 3 years.Wow, I'm not sure we should go after Messi. To get rid of Jesus and Bernardo for a finished Messi is a big mistake. This guy is physically and psychologically ruined.

There is no bad feeling between the board members but between the club there is a very bad feeling. Among fans also i suppose it is bad from barcas fans side but as city fans our city's project is modeled upon their philosophy and hating United means hating ronaldo so we have soft corner for messi. So we have good feeling for Barcelona.Thank you for your comments. I do not think Manchester City will allow Jesus or Bernardo to leave.
I do not know the financial proposition but it appears awkward to me. Hitherto a Messi transfer was regarded as impossible to contemplate because of his age and the huge cost. It would just not be feasible. Now it becomes possible because of his contractual situation but I appreciate that different people have different opinions about whether he can leave or not. The players that City could offer are the young defenders Garcia, and Angelino. These are good players but not very well known. City really need a central defender. We lost the league title because we could not replace Kompany and Laporte got injured so we need to buy Koulibaly and that does not leave much finance. I foresee City could offer Angelini, Garcia and £50m. That is not insignificant for a player who is 33 and who wants to leave.
I hope that there is no bad feeling between Manchester City and Barcelona. I have enjoyed very much watching Barcelona play football over the years. Your players have given us much joy. That goes for every football fan in England. Almost everyone here likes barcelona, and largely it is down to Messi.
the reactions here are very strange.if that will happen it will hurt the team massively. Is he really able to make the difference anymore? The last years tell us, no. I'd rather see that money spent into the future of the team.
