Springsteen in Roundhay Park the day Boris Becker won at Wimbledon ....it was a bastard to get out of though

Queen at Elland Road....shit support from memory it was only Joan Jett, The Teardrop Explodes and Heart - fucking boiling mind

Elton John in Leeds and the Ramones twice

Only saw Rory once on his comeback in the 80’s.
Would have loved to have been old enough to see him on his 1974 tour.

Edit: Sorry wrong thread. Should be the concerts I wish I’d been at.

Have seen far many excellent concerts over the years to really name here .... ABBA , Celine Dion , Gloria Estefan , Whitney Houston , Barry White, The Four Tops , to name but a few ....

Been to plenty of gigs, including 25 Paul McCartney concerts, so they're all special to me...

but i'd say him playing 1000 capacity Liverpool gig in 2010 is special,

seeing ringo join him on stage last December in London on my birthday was mind blowing (we were 3rd row middle!)
though to me all my Paul gigs were amazing to be able to be at.

The George Harrison tribute concert "concert for George" was amazing, Paul. ringo, Clapton, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Ravi Shankar, Billy Preston, emotional night.

Other gigs - The Kinks at the apollo in 93 rocked..

I've seen a wide range tbh, Tori Amos about 50 times (don't laugh, i love her!), Paul, was glad to get to 2 Ringo gigs in 2011, The Kinks, Ray Davies, Dave Davies solo gig my ears never recovered from, All about eve, the monkees, Brian Wilson, Jason Falkner, Sean Lennon, things i shouldn't admit to like wet wet wet. Gloria Estefan too, she was great. Plenty more.. money used to limit me (and before i knew anyone with a car getting home from gigs used to be a problem too!) so we'd stick to the people we really loved usually (hence a billion Paul McCartney and Tori Amos concerts)

Was that '85 ? I recall the exit to our car park was blocked after an accident. People were driving down the embankments to get off. My friend was in her brothers prized black Capri and wouldn't chance it. Waited for what seemed like hours to just get off the car park. Fantastic concert though.

My first stadium concert, Emerson Lake & Palmer 1977, I was 15 years old. Absolutely mind blowing.
Who, Pink Floyd x2, Genesis x2, Yes x4, Rush x2, Al di Meola, John McLaughlin, Frank Zappa, Robert Plant x2,
Stevie Ray Vaughn, Supertramp x2, Tragically Hip x2. King Crimson x3, Steve Hackett x3. Loads more.

Drank with the band as I knew them all and worked with the lead singer & also got a few vocals out on the mic during Just a Gigalo.

Been to many concerts and seen lots of the best. A small number stand out above the rest:

Led Zeppelin at the Kings Theatre Edinburgh 1973. This is the only Rock concert that the Kings ever hosted - about 3,000 people. Zeppelins sound system was made for slightly more and didn't seem to have a volume button. Unbelievable concert, unbelievably loud. They opened with 'Rock and Roll" and when Bonham hit the snair it was like being kicked hard in the chest.

Genesis at the Usher Hall Edinburgh 1975. The concert had been rescheduled from 1974 because of an injury to Steve Hackett. They played the full Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. Not long afterwards Peter Gabriel left the band. Wonderful concert though

Robert Plant and Alison Kraus at the Paris Le Grand Rex in 2008. T Bone Burnett played guitar and produced. Fantastic band, fantastic vocalists in one of my favourite citys. The venue was a refurbished avante guarde cinema where you were met at the front door by liveried youngsters and literally individually taken to your seat. Tipping was mandatory. Those that refused were verbally abused until they coughed up. Pretty bizzarre. Fantastic concert though.

The concert that stands out most though was Kate Bush at the Hammersmith apollo in 2014. Despite her doing 22 dates, demand for tickets was such that she could have done 10 times that and still sold out. She had a great band including Tony Levin and others from Peter Gabriels band. When she came on the stage, I have never heard such a reception in all my years of concert going. You could feel the love rolling down to the stage. It was extraordinary. The music, visuals were perfect. Her vocals beautiful and strong. I almost certainly she wont play live again and because of that I feel very privileged to have seen her.

Gilmour at the Albert Hall with Bowie on vocals for Albert Layne and Comfortably Numb; Zappa at Hammersmith Odeon with a 14 year old Dweezil making an appearance on guitar - he was so good at such a young age; Led Zepp reunion at the O2 (thanks to my cousin for giving me his spare ticket!!) not the greatest performance but definitely a York away I was there moment

Oasis at Maine rd. My first ever gig at the age of 15. At the time it felt huge and has now gone down as an iconic gig. Very lucky to have been there
