Pep arrived in Barcelona last night. Officially it will be for “holidays” but he’ll meet Messi over the weekend.

Think there’s now pictures of him out and about last night in Barca. The info was good. I suspect there will at least he a call if not a meeting today between Leo and Pep.

Also he’ll definitely turn up for his physicals tomorrow (imo). Not turning up is an act of war that Ferran Pep etc won’t want.

Apparently Ferran and Barto have a strong mutual antipathy too. It’s a deeply incestuous deal because of the politics going all the way back to Sandro Rosell falling out with Joan Laporta nearly a decade ago and the suspicion from the Laporta loyalists is that Barto is a puppet and frontman for Rosell.

The key is Barca/Messi. There's no deal whilst the E700m fee remains.

I think Messi would be better off not showing for training/tests so that the Barca board realise the consequences of making Messi a hostage. It's still early though in the process. Perhaps non-cooperation comes later.
