Think about that for a minute, fine him and with hold 25% of wages they don’t pay him anymore as he is out of contract ?

That’s why it be interesting what Barcelona do if they don’t fine him or punish him they think he isn’t a Barcelona player so they have to do something if they believe he is there player and then Messi can challenge that without involving us.

Waitrose? I thought only the plebs shopped there. Shirley, he'll be a regular at ASDA, literally across the road from the council house/Emptihad (you choose).

Me personally am a Asda man,
Dont believe paying over the odd for the same items, elsewhere,
Bit like Barca =waitrose
Get him free or minimal fee=Asda
Anyway hope the pisscan not suicidal.

i saw him do nothing in an 8-2 defeat his last match, a passenger in a massive game. Why not sign Rivaldo, Maradona or Bebeto? Surely these are good players if you go by name only.

I wouldn't call creating 2 good chances through your own dribbling, hitting the post and putting another cross on a plate to score doing nothing but each to their own.

You are misunderstanding the situation - if the value is set by a judge this is done retroactively. Messi is allowed to leave, without the fee being resolved. This is allowed, it has happened with other players in Spain - UEFA have no remit to involve themselves. He can request a transfer certificate from FIFA right now. He has the RIGHT, to unilaterally terminate his own contract if the release clause has expired, and to sign for another team.

This is exciting because the judge would take in to account his wages and probably Ronaldo’s transfer fee (when he had a 3 year contract) - so if it goes to a judge we are looking at paying less than €100m.

This significantly increases our bargaining position and weakens Barca’s - who thought they had a buy out clause.

This post has given me a semi.

as it stands Leo is trying his two options; claim that he can trigger the clause and let Barto acknowledge it, and leave with permission from the club. if this does not work he will trigger fifa's article 17, unilateral
termination of the contractual relationship. he would have to pay a fine for this (that could be paid by city)

The one downside of this is that if he comes we're gonna have to start pretending to give a shit about the petulant Ronaldo-Messi debate that's raging on literally 24/7 between internet fanboys.

It's always been Messi. I've never debated with anyone over it and I never will because there's nothing more to it.
