Too many 12 year olds with too much time on their hands.Reading some of the posts in this thread reminds me of why i don't visit this forum as much as I used to......the first word that springs to mind is embarrassing

Think you and a lot of guys on here are being harsh on Pep. He lost his mum for goodness sake which I can tell you is massive blow. He also lost his number 2 in Arteta which was also a blow for City. Cut him some slack please folks. Pep =total football. Brian Clough would be nodding in approval at this City team. There's no obviously realistic alternative. Overall, I hope Pep extends his contract but he's blemished his record at City. I still think he's a great coach but he is capable of errors of judgement.
The season has been unsuccessful and the coach has fallen short of past standards. In part we were dealt a bad hand with injury, but the Lyon game was a self-inflicted disaster, and should be called out as such.
Will pep extend if Messi is coming or Messi come if peps extending...is it a recursive loop
It's partly because you no longer visit so much that it's gone a bit downhill :)Reading some of the posts in this thread reminds me of why i don't visit this forum as much as I used to......the first word that springs to mind is embarrassing
Simply not football intelligent enough to be a CB, great RB, keep him there.Pep tried him there a few times, a couple of seasons ago, and it was obvious he wasn't.
Every man , woman and child make errors, it's what you learn from them when you do.Every coach makes errors of judgement there hasn’t been one manager in the history of football who hasn’t . This season has been disappointing but he still is the best man for the job and on our really good days there isn’t a football team out there who plays better football than City. Let’s get behind him, he deserves that from us surely.
Every man, woman and child doesnt get paid 20m quid per year not to make those errors.Every man , woman and child make errors, it's what you learn from them when you do.
Next time in the latter stages of the Champions League, please Pep, just play to our undoubted strengths and stop worrying what the opponents could do.
Unfortunately I agree, that's why I say it's what you learn when you makes mistakes.Every man, woman and child doesnt get paid 20m quid per year not to make those errors.
Hope im wrong but i doubt he will ever win the champions league at City.
Just read the same. Said messi wanted reassurance that pep is stayingSimon Mullock reporting tonight that Pep will sign a 2 year extension to his contract which will coincide with Messi’s time here...
To be fair that was reported at least 2 weeks ago.Simon Mullock reporting tonight that Pep will sign a 2 year extension to his contract
Bayern have pace and power everywhere. They were fighting, tackling, faulting, pressing even in 90th minute, never let PSG have the ball for more than 10 seconds...
Pace and power gives them chance to play high intensity game which creates enermous risk for opponents.
Pep failed there 3x in a row to get them to final. But at least semis were not a problem unlike here at City.
Imo given how PL is we could do with more pace and power in our team. especially midfield and wings. Mahrez is a nice player but if you put Coman or Gnabry next to him these guys are like wild dogs running all game, winning ball back, helping out fullbacks, getting into box, arriving for headers, creating, scoring etc.
Mahrez is way too comfortable to this type of wing play he would not survive in this Bayern team will be intrested to see how Sane will do who does not have the best workrate off the ball imo either but going forward he is ultra dangerous on form...
The amount of work done by likes of Goretzka-Thiago duo, constant running, faults, blocking passing lanes, workrate, distribute the ball quickly and accurately etc. again Gundogan is way too slow and comfortable compared to that...
(even Muller, did anyone see how much he was helping off the ball and how he was basically everywhere all game?)
Pep needs to change these things both in PL and especially in CL.
And yet we still managed to conjure up 9 defeats and 3 draws! That's almost 1 in 3 we failed to win. Unfortunately too many games where we thought it was a foregone conclusion. No, because the rest of the PL became quite poor/similar, despite us finishing a distant 2nd, we were still 15 popints ahead of a weak united/chelsea in 3rd/4th. The top 2 have been streeeta ahead of the rest the last 2 seasons, and the top 1 was, 3 years ago, this is not a strong league imho.
A strong league is where 4 or 5 are competing in it for the last 3 or 4 games.
Also 5 teams didn't get to 40 points, with the bottom side 13 points adrift of the team above.
Another measure is GD, we were 116 goals better than the bottom side, and more than 90 above 3 others, and even 15 better than the champions, and 37 better than the next, this is not the sign of a strong league either.
With Duncan castle reporting a 5 year deal with CFG for Messi, 3 at City, 2 at New York... would that suggest Pep will stay for 3 more years?
