Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

One of the lessons Pep took from his time at Barcelona was that he needed to delegate. This helped him at Bayern and also at City too.

I'm less concerned with Pep and more concerned about City. If he wants to commit to us until 2024, like Klopp has to Liverpool, then I believe he's earned that right. If he can't commit he needs to go at the end of the season. It's his decision, but I hope he doesn't string it out.
I doubt that he will. He'll make up his mind - one-way-or-the-other - and then stick to it come season's end. For me... I think he's gone - but that's mostly based on what I've read about Pep and about how he's behaved given similar circumstances in the past.

I very much hope I'm wrong - but it wouldn't surprise me if we start the next season under a new manager.

If I'm correct and the pattern holds - Pep will leave us this upcoming season and will take a year off of football - only to return as manager at a top club totally committed to supporting him.

Whoever the manager is come the summer, one thing I have heard must surely indicate Pep has plenty of incentive to stick around.

Try £350m reasons.

We are already way down the line with agents.

It will be the biggest spend in the history of football....

Fcuking Brilliant we bought 3/4 players in the last 2 an half years and we still get slagged of! So let’s give them something to really moan about! Hope we make it half a billion.

Indeed.

He lost 24 league games alone in just his last 2¼ years with Spurs. That’s Spurs worst ratio of league defeats from any manager they’ve had since Juande Ramos. To put that I to perspective, City lost just 65 league games all decade. Potchettino also won no trophies even though clubs like Leicester Birmingham Wigan and Swansea managed to win trophies in the last decade.

He’d be about 25th in my list for next manager.
That's a very simplified way to look at things.

Of those 24, he lost 13 last season as Spurs reached the Champions League Final after zero investment over the previous 3 transfer windows, so that's 11 defeats between 2017/18 and his time there this season. 7 defeats in 2017/18 (2 to us and we twatted everyone so 5 really) and a really bad start to this season when it was clear he'd ran his course at Tottenham but also, their centre back paring and Eriksson were so obviously planning to leave.

You're also listing trophy winners for the last decade when Poch was only at Spurs for 5 of them so Wigan, Birmingham and Swansea can be scratched from that list. That leaves only Leicester winning a single trophy during his time at Spurs from your list. Leicester also won the league whilst Klopp was at Liverpool. Would he be in your top 24 or lower than 25th?

Would take a big hit on cancelo
Can’t see 60m from anyone
Our record for fullbacks is appalling
Except that City didn't pay anything near £60 million for Cancelo.

Danilo was grossly overvalued in that transaction to help Juve's financial position.

What pattern? He's managed 3 clubs, took a break between the first 2, but didn't between 2nd and 3rd
