It's Lionel Messi. There's no calm way of him leaving Barcelona.

Who gives a shit what the media quote as the fee. I would let Barca tell the world what they like if we get the man. Keep it undisclosed. Let everyone think it was 700m and crack on.

Sadly it’s done. Even if he wanted to join next year, his family are settled. Maybe Barca will get him to sign some sort of contract or drop his release clause so they can get some money out of it but I think It’s a year too late for us.

I’d be stunned if Koeman lasts the whole season with that squad. He was rubbish at Everton and can’t see him doing any better at Barca.

Hopefully we have other targets in mind we can move swiftly on to.

Every manager is rubbish at Everton. It is apoisoned chalice job with ott expectstions without the clout to match. Koeman is a damn fine manager, did well in Netherlands, really well at Southampton, and well with the national side. I don't think he'l do well at Barcelona, but that is because of the timing more than his ability
