Phil Foden to leave England camp

It's a 4/10 on the stupid meter, but I was doing worse things when I was 20. I don't know what the set-up is with him and his partner, and I don't really care, so that part is between them. If he gets his head down in training it won't impact anything much and all will be forgotten by the first game of the season.
4/10, not sure if serious

You criticise others but what do you think of Foden , as in Disrespecting his manager, breaking A Countrys Covid protocol, and being unfaithful to the partner he has children with.?????
What do u think of him moving forward? Do people get a chance in life? Specially when so young?

or are you one of the ‘outraged’ brigade

Truthfully no one has any right to judge him for what he did.

You either learn by these mistakes and grow or you dont and you spiral/underachieve.
If he spirals and underachieves thats again none of our business but his, his familys and his employers.

No doubt plenty of members of this forum will have done similar things and either been caught or not.
No one is clean and hence no one has any right to say anything against his character.

Factually he broke team rules and country laws/guidelines. He has been punished by the team (and may be punished further) and he has been fined by the country.

That is the end of it.
If city decide they should punish him, they will, they are his employer and that is their right.

But I’ve read way too many disparaging comments in here about a 20 year old kid. Everyone needs to drop it now.

Holding anyone up to morally high standards is not only a disappointment waiting to happen but also a complete waste of time.
Judge yourself, dont judge others.

I was asking someone else a question , of course i will answer yours.

It is not the end of the world, it did prove to me that his desire was not focused on an international match which was two days away. It proved he is immature and not ready for tournament international football, when you need to focus for 3/4 weeks, without shagging the nearest local woman.
This is a major setback, how he handles it and what he learns from it is vital to his progress. I am sure his advisors and club are saying the same.
I am disappointed that a generational talent acted like a child , and not an international footballer with one cap, wanting to play in a major tournament in 9 months.
If the excuse is because he is "so young" as you said in your post, then maybe he is "too young" to play international football or major man city games, when he needs to follow the instructions his manager gives him, and not do as he pleases.
I still have very high hopes for the future, and will give him my full support when I am back at the Etihad,

He deserved the flak he received but it’s done and dusted now.
There’s nothing new to be added to the debate that’s not already been covered.
Time to leave him be and get behind him for the upcoming season.
No let the thread keep going round in circles. He’s only been called a **** 1650 times, defended as ‘just a lad’ 1328 times. It’s not quite enough.

Sorry to dissapoint you in not playing your silly game, but if you think Foden's indiscretion is minor, we will simply have to disagree by some margin
I didn't say that, just asked you a question based on what you'd said. You are just embarrassed because it sums up the scale of your overreaction.

With the exception of his misses id agree. I think she has solid grounds to judge him - and prob kick him in the knackers.

Im sorry Doris but we have every right to critise him for deliberately breaking rules put in place to protect human life, particularly as a), it isn't his first indiscretion with this b, he is a role model to many influential youngsters who may follow his example of ignorance of rules and c, rates of infection are starting to rise alarmingly. His sexual life, is his own business, but let's not downplay the significance of breaking covid rules for a second time.

It seems from this thread that 50% of the blokes on here have had a one night stand in a hotel, and the other 50% have known their wives to do so?
It may explain the divided attitudes.

I think it's small earthquake no one killed, notwithstanding all the wild speculation and prurient curtain twitching in here, the overriding thought I have is it's none of our business.
