People still aren't getting this. He's not moving this summer.

Wasn't it a 2 year extension because he would have been down to his last year, a bit of appreciation for the club etc

Similar to Laporte signing a new deal 6 months before we signed him.

Laporte renewed in the summer of 2016, we signed him in January 2018.
