What is this shite about Messi being told by Barca to take a pay cut to help out? That's the sort of rumour that just begs to be true.

Hey Leo we are going against our agreement and you are not allowed to leave as you are under contract and while you are at it can we renegotiate your contract and pay you less?

By Christmas, they would have milked a lot from Messi & it might make sense to let him leave then.

They've basically got a stalemate where if Messi and Suarez refuse to go, they can't sign anyone, address any of their problems, get anyone for Koeman to call his own.

If they let Messi go, Suarez will also go, and they have €125m in wages freed up and up to about €100m in cash to rebuild.

So if they keep him past October 5, the season is basically over, and so is Koeman's tenure, and Bartomeu/Rosell's presidential line is broken.

That is actually true not a rumour. They have already asked alba, Roberto, pique , Busquets to take a pay cut. Now president is gathering courage to ask messi. Loll

Amazing scenes from Barcelona. Suarez has apparently said NO to Juventus. Vidal has to cancel is fight because inter can't terminate things with Godín. So they stopped vidal transfer till then. Lmao!! Take that bartomeu. Have fun with the wages and debt and no new signings.

Ties in with the Suarez situation. Juventus can't afford his wage demands all of a sudden. If that deal collapses, Barca are facing another year of paying him hthe extortionate wages that come with his contract. Show them the money, Barca.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer club board!

They are struggling to get rid of suarez, and even vidal who had supposedly settled with Barça n inter.

Logically only messi can leave , giving them a good fee.

But Soo much politics on there , the obvious solution is not being followed. (or being done , in top secret)

It looks like they have fucked this season up, just to keep Messi against his will.

By Christmas, they will have sold most of the shirts etc, so it might make sense, even to those lunatics, to get him off the wage bill.

Maybe this is what Tolmie meant by its not over. Barca look like they are desperate for money
