It would have no effect either way, if there is no further interest or push for the move from messi, or us, or neither.

But say in theory there still was an intent to have a go at it this window..

I don't think it helps us in any way if im honest. I think it would help more of he didn't face a vote of no confidence and didn't get the numbers to push him out. Which is what i will be hoping for, purely for the entertainment.

A new board would not affect this window. Either way, bart won't be replaced before this window shuts. A new board prior to Jan window opening has all the time in the world to offer the world to messi. Bart to stay till March for me.

Won't help sign Messi in this window, that's for certain. It is merely the first step, there would still be the vote to take place and then to meet the minimum criteria

As I have mentioned before, a change in the board/president could more likely tilt things back in Barca's favor for Leo to continue rather than facilitate his departure since he can leave for free at end of season anyway

I never suggested Spaniards do not Mambo - simply pointing out, Mambo is neither Spanish nor Argentinean. Rather it seems quite obvious the joke was to use a latin dancing term that began with an 'M' without observing origin

I did not make a thing of it, just pointing out the obvious - it's a bit lazy and would've been even more apropos to use say Malambo

Technically they don’t speak Spanish in Catalonia either, they speak Catalonian which is a dialect of Spanish, if you are from Barcelona you don’t speak Spanish ;0) My ex went to uni in Barcelona. The same way Barça refers to the club only not the city which many do. But he’s happy to let that slide and concentrate on a fucking dance instead. It’s the same in the Basque regions or Brittany in France.

At the risk of sounding like FCBarca...

Many people in Catalonia do speak Spanish (castellano), they just usually speak Catalan for very obvious reasons. Some are more militant about that preference than others, of course, but Spanish is present there and many Catalans speak it when needed, even whilst in the city (especially with tourists).

Source: many members of my family live in and around Barcelona; my Spanish side is from Zaragoza.

I thought this guy/girl was alright at first and wanted to keep him, in a similar way to keeping an ugly puppy at Crimbo....
But now hes become tiresome and somewhat pretentious, so i have decided that, as its 2 weeks after Crimbo, I actually dont want to keep him anymore....

They have until 6pm tomorrow and less than a thousand signatures needed. On a match night like in a few hours, normally, this would be a slam dunk but the Gamper will be played without supporters. Media coverage has increased finally (Despite Grupo Godo absolutely conducting a blackout on this - many socis weren't even aware this motion was ongoing) so I think they get there

Maybe we have crossed linguistic wires but you called it "poor". That comes across as superior, sneering and judgmental. That is not 'pointing it out'. Pointing it out would have been saying "interestingly you know mambo isn't a Spanish term, a more relevant title would be Messi Malambo".

But you didn't, you said it was poor and stereotypical, and now you're criticising people for being stuck in their ways when actually all their doing is pointing out how arrogant, overbearing and picky you're being.
