I really fear barca might lose this kid, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, they don't make defenders like Garcia anymore. Barca need to come in and sign up this kid before some other team snaps him up!

Pace is not everything if you a great reader of the game and a great footballer, but if your an average player and not the greatest footballer, pace can make up you deficiencies.

Playing In Serie A during the 80s/90s is nothing like playing for City now.

Sure, you need to be great positionally, but unless you can be in three places at once, that won't work here. Our CBs have little protection, and their positioning will always be some kind of compromise - If you're marking a forward near the centre circle, but the attack starts out wide, with no full backs in sight, then there is no position that can make up for a lack of pace.
 
Latest rumours indicating his price is back to 10-12m euros Barca wants to offer. That 18m euro sounded too good and even Romano said it was upped to 22m + some bonus. horseshit info looks like...

Bartomeu saw him vs Leicester and is now saying 12m euro or they take him for free next summer at this points, I would sell him for whatever price because if he stays Pep will favour him in lot of games.

It needs to be taken out of Peps hands, Txiki should sell Garcia for the good of the cashflow for the club. Keep Garcia and we are fcked.
 
Garcia would be quality alongside a quick centreback. Vardy ate him for breakfast because City have no pace in midfield and only have one quick defender in Walker who can't be everywhere.

It would have been ideal to bring through garcia and harwood Bellis together.

Perhaps we can get a player out if Barcelona. Do they have a left-back?
 
No doubt the Rafinha thing is from Barcelona's side. Can't see City being interested in that at all.

Pep has often produced the best football team in Europe & crashed out of the Champs Lg due to utter dogshit defending.

I don't think he's ever taken it seriously. He thinks his system will do the defending rather than a top defensive unit. He often sticks midfielders in there & has got away with it, until somebody targets it, then he's fucked, but he usually moves on then.

Garcia is basically another one. He could probably be good right now in def midfield, but he's utter crap at cb & is ruining the confidence & organisation of his team mates.

Pep now has a new problem imo, he has to learn how to organise a proper defence, without having a regular defensive leader to do it for him.

I'm pretty sure he can learn very quickly & will learn not to fuck about with Garcias in the future.
 
MD say a final offer to arrive today for Garcia but as there is a wide gap between club valuations, there is calm from Barca that they will simply wait to sign him in January for free if not agreed before Oct. 5

Cool or he could sign an extension between now and then or move to another club or even sign for another club on a free instead.
