How we can be chasing a left back at this point is beyond me, with the money we have spent on full backs it is piss poor.

Mendy, Angelino, Zinchenko, Cancelo and now we have the option of Ake as well.

I believe Pep is one of the best coaches in the world and i would be telling him he needs to get the best out of these players rather than spunking the best part of £30 - £40 million on yet another full back.

Angelino came from the academy & Zinchenko & Cancelo aren't left backs.

Agree we should have sorted it years ago but not fair to include those players.

Mate the guy is predicting transfers for Bayern, City, West Ham, Arsenal, Napoli, Ajax, United...literally the entirety of Europe. You could put Raiola, Mendes and Kia Joorabchian in the same room and they would know less than this bloke. How the fuck can you not see that it's physically impossible for someone to have an insider information about literally every club in existence. It's a fucking aggregator.

Just sign the LB given we have 1 spot left, then worry about Zinchenko. Hes not on high wage, or high amortisation so whats the issue?

I wonder if Zinchenko could be part of our solution in defensive midfield? He plays there at international level and he has to be quicker and more agile than some of our other options. I’d certainly give him a go.

Zinchenko is absolutely no where near good enough to play for this club in midfield.

Yes this it the issue i have, I agree that Zinchenko and Cancelo are not left backs but we have decided as a club and I assume with Peps agreement that they provide suitable cover for the left back position.

We all know that left back has been our biggest weakness for a number of years but we have never fixed it.

Did we need Mahrez or should we have got a left back?
What can Cancelo do that was much better than Danilo?

If Pep does not believe in Zinchenko then why give him a long term contract? same with Cancelo, if he believes in him then play him.

Cancelo is pretty excellent going forward tbf. We haven't seen it yet, but he is. But also he's worse than Mendy at defending.

I think Pep recons he can turn any fucker into a defender & he was getting away with it.

Alaba could play midfield for us?

He has all the attributes to be a fernandinho.

Also if he did play inverted LB it would be very similar to the system we played vs. Wolves with Alaba and Rodri as a 2 sitting in front of Laporte-Dias-Walker.

That feels like a really solid back 5.
