Absolute waste Ake being on the bench. Won't stop Pep having him there, just like v Leeds.
 
I think when Cancelo is fit again we will see more of Ake at left back. There will be more balance to the side with Cancelo adding the attacking threat down the right, rather than Walker.
 
There's a reason Aké's first instructions were to train for 3 positions. He is definitely playing a lot of games at left back**

city have not a great squad anymore and we are short up front and need a striker, also a left back and attacking midfield player, losing david silva should have not been a big issue, but its shows why phil foden was not ready to take his shirt, little david silva was more to this team than we all thought he was ? when things got tight he would just take control and hold the ball and work his magic

We have the best squad in the country as it stands. We might not have worldies in every position but our squad is unrivalled

looking at the bench of the games we have played this season says otherwise
ok we can point to injuries and covid-19 taking a big part of the squad out of pep hands, but its still short and 2 or 3 new face are needed, god knows why city have not signed a new striker and left back

it was ? but take out sane silva because of them leaving and aguero and jesus being injured all the time
also one proper left back its clear its not as good as we all think

Which striker did you want us to sign?
 
January window is not even far (if that's the case still), why would the club sign a 3rd attacker when two of their strikers will be fit to start? Spend 70m+ on what if scenarios? We can get a left back or a forward in Jan if it gets that bad. Till then it is fine.

Ake will be the most solid option defensively, but imo if you have a cb running around the pitch like a fullback, he'll get injured, so he can't be the main choice every week.

Very rarely happens. But with a fully fit squad. Our bench would be Steffan Stones Cancello Fernandhino Torres Mahrez Jesus. The first 11 is obvious
 
Well multiple reports, that unable to move Zini is the main reason for not Getting a new LB. I am pretty sure he would have many takers.

Guess they have left it too late anyway now

Well ,yes it's been stretched with 8 players missing and adding Dias late, doesn't mean it's a smaller squad than anyone elses. We couldn't add a striker and left back without losing players. If w'd been able to sell Zinchenko we'd have bought a left back, we won't buy a striker util Aguero leaves we don't have room.
