My only hope is that the money that they were prepared to spent is spent, but they're looking for ways to do it without the council involved.

If so (I'm not confident) it should have been made obvious, cause there's a whole lot of anger out there at the moment.

I'm sure it will find its way into the test and trace/ppe black hole.

£22M, £60M, £65M, £90M, £4billion.

4 of these figures have been in the news today the other is how much it's costing to referb Parliament.

Puts in into perspective, lives & livelihood in Manchester, probably to be followed around the UK soon v do it in a big fucking hotel and spend the money on important things.

Remind me again when was the last time we had to build Nightingale hospitals for fear of the exponential growth in deaths from falling down the stairs?

To say yours is a lame argument is an insult to lames.
For an intelligent lad he has a habit of doing this.

I live in Trafford and we have been under strict rules for a few weeks.

Can someone tell me what changes in tier 3 aside from pubs and bars?

Does grass roots kids football/team sports and stuff like that continue?

That is households mixing outdoors?
We havent had the details yet, but kids football etc hasnt stopped in the other areas in Tier 3.

What businesses will actually close in a tier 3?

Pubs (if they don't serve food). Bookies? Hairdressers?

Imo a national circuit breaker , cut cornwall off and gov can bring back mortage holidays and ask utility firms for payment deferrals ,bring back furlough , doing it by region puts everyone in those areas in trouble money wise , by doing it this way it is creating more problems, no way is easy of course

If it’s true that the £60m is still on the table then the Mcr Leadership Team need to take it and then hope that their 10 day delay doesn’t kill people.. Sadly I fear it will...

Absolutely. Both sides need to swallow their pride and work with the £60m.

Keep pushing for more, but the £60m should still be on the table.

It's not necessarily that they will close, many restaurants are already running at 50% capacity because of social distancing and then now there are extra restrictions.

Two weeks ago I could goto the Trafford Centre for tea but now I won't because of the tier 3 travel restrictions. Those restaurants aren't closed but their footfall will collapse but they'll still have rent to pay.

Funny how they can afford to shell out billions on sham contracts with regards to PPE and track & trace which are all conveniently run by their rich pals.

this pals nonsense is not even worthy of a response.

I think the £60m still being on the table is a bit of a backtrack from the government, as Johnson had ample opportunity to clarify that during the press conference and didn't do so, but agree that Burnham should probably take it now whilst continuing to push for the extra funds that are needed.
