Pep Guardiola has underperformed for a few months , you can put words into my mouth and try and point score all you want , the jist of my point is Guardiola's standards have slipped and we need him back to his best , the role of Soriana is to oversee and get the best for the club , so the buck stops with him not Guardiola
Now go and annoy someone else
"quiet word with Pep", " play your best available team" Nobody put words in your mouth that is what you posted on the previous page and rudeness to someone who dared to disagree doesn't change what you said.

I think Pep is depressed when he walks into training and looks at the shit we have bought. Silva gone, komps gone, Sergio old, fern old, zaba gone tho Walker is doing great. Yaya eating birthday cake while calling him a racist...gone.

He knows the players in attack are shit. Why we did not back him is short sighted. Yes FFP and yes Covid but this rebuild without him is going to cost us a lot more in the future.

Take the shackles off in jan and buy what is needed.

If Pep walks into training and is depressed that he has Aguero, Jesus, Sterling, Torres, Mahrez, Bernardo and Foden as attackers then he should consider retiring immediately.

Unnecessary pep bashing when he himself said he won't Overstay if he can't sell players his understanding of football. People calling for him to be sacked are ridiculous. Lol. Show some respect to the manager who made some history in PL.

The excuses Pep is afforded on here is ridiculous.

Most managers in the world would chop there right arm off to become manager of MCFC.

So is Garcia better than Stones in your opinion. I cant get my head around why Pep is pandering to this lad who wants away.
In my opinion yes, but that is not saying Garcia is brilliant.

Notwithstanding his lack of availability, Stones imo is a poor defender. Yes, he is comfortable on the ball, but has this tendency to always back off until it is too late.

I suspect Pep is only selecting Garcia out of necessity.

Pep managed to spend good money between 2018 and now and still reduce the quality of a very good team

No manager worth his salt, chasing a game will do a Zinchenko-Walker sub whilst Torres was waiting in the wings with few minutes to play

These days we struggle badly even in games that we win. There was an assurance we once had as City fans that we would win most epl games even in Mancini's days and in Pellers' days

When will Pep be held accountable?
I didn't get the letter the club sent out claiming we would win most pl games so please be a good chap and post it on here.

What, you cannot- no shit!

Sure but Sergio is always injured, Torres has only signed, Jesus injured, FFS an attacker good one, Bernie form has dropped off a cliff and foden who he plays out of position?

Taking all that into account. I stick to my point.

That may be how it works in pub or Sunday leagues. Why Soriano, go to the top, Sheikh Mansour. I expected better from you.

jog on

Garcia is utter fucking shite in my opinion. Too small and weak, too slow, doesn't want to be here. If it was up to me I'd have sold him when Barca offered £15m. Don't understand why the club didn't, when you think we let Tosin go for only £2m. I dislike Garcia more and more every game, he's a fucking waste of skin. Stones should play, even Rodri at centre back would be better, at least he'd win some headers.

Can't wait for Laporte to come back.

Mental how we’ve spent 250-300 million on centre backs the past few seasons and we’ve still got flipping Garcia poncing about at centre back in the prem for us lol.

While I think we will get back on track I think we have to try and play a more balanced team especially as we seem to have several players who are either playing out of position or who might be more effective in other roles. Cancelo was bought as a right-back but looks to be the only player who can get past anyone. I'd almost be tempted to get back to basics and play a back four of Walker, Dias, LaPorte and Ake or Zinchenko. Midfield would be KDB, Rodri and Foden with Cancelo, Sterling and Torres as a front 3 (If Serg and Jesus injured). Not 2018 or 2019 vintage but it is what it is and leaves an opportunity for Delap to come in up front as a sub and Sterling to move to outside right where he usually looks most dangerous. Bernardo might be a 'busy' option for Rodri or an alternative to Torres although I thought he would be the natural successor to David...….perhaps he still can be but Foden deserves to start now. I have question marks about Rodri but he is undoubtedly a good player so would give him the nod for the time being. Mahrez never enough end product for me and again, looks more effective when playing inside. While we have a hugely talented squad there is a bit to sort out and it will probably mean a couple of names being left out and perhaps leaving to get the balance right again

Beg to differ but it's with the fairies to think Pep hasn't had serious input into all signings. The club in current configuration was set up first to bring Pep in and then to give him multi millions to spend each window. The situation would have been the envy of any manager anywhere. He was fortunate enough to inherit the old warriors who formed the spearheads of our two glorious seasons. Their successors are very much the choices of the three Catalans.

What world is it if winning teams can only be created out of 24 carat gold, 2 Kilo diamonds and the creme de la creme of galacticos?

All well and good if the new players perform. They have not so Pep is struggling. He always says the same thing. I am only as good as my players. He is a brilliant manager when he has the right tools. This team has not played anywhere near the previous 2 seasons.

We could afford to carry the lb problem when the rest was functioning but now we have a forward problem, cdm problem, Cam problem and still a lb problem. Cb is finally resolved.

The machine that produced his philosophy is broken.

Which new players havent performed?

New players is the wrong description. Players bought in to replace the old guard.

Over last season and this 1?

Top of my head:
Cancelo
Mahrez
Rodri,
Mendy

Zin, stones, gundo and Bernie have all underperformed in this period.

Recruitment has beaten us. If the correct players had of been purchased the pep machine would of continued.
